Escape First Alchemist: Prologue

The mechanics are pretty good. The zoom is a bit weird to use, but doable. The voice is great!!! After figuring out how to do things, it's pretty easy. there are puzzles and lots of recipes to make for potions! Good job and thanks!

Your prologue is broken, and I am unable to progress past even the first puzzle: -Your book that I can pick up, when picked up, is invisible. I cannot get it to be visible whatever I do -The "Reset Items" button in the menu seemingly doesn't work at all, it does nothing when pressed -The dominos or dots puzzle for opening the locked box seemingly has no answer! I have been running around this one room for almost 30 minutes, searching for ANY pattern or marking or ANYTHING resembling a hit for this puzzle, closed and reopened the game several times, thrown things at the stupid book who doesn't say anything past the point of me solving the clocks, and there's no hope of me brute forcing this like 6 digit combination within the year, and I'm just incredibly frustrated! I assume that the clue for this puzzle is just in the book, a clue I can't access because it's straight up invisible. I hope this can get fixed soon. It was fun for the first small moment of playtime, until I hit this total brick wall. Doesn't bode well for the game proper :(

"Escape First Alchemist: Prologue" is is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Escape First Alchemist". Escape First Alchemist is a poorly made first person escape room game, which, despite the okay-looking graphics (which may be flipped, who knows) was very badly designed, as you just get told what you have to do and follow it along, so don't expect a lot of puzzle solving. Certainly, games that are too obtuse are a problem, but the other extreme is a problem too. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Escape First Alchemist, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Escape First Alchemist: Prologue" too. I actually cannot stand the voice acting in this game. I'm so sorry talking book but you're no Grimoire Weiss.
