Lightmatter

Lightmatter is basically what happens when someone takes Portal, adds light and shadow mechanics, and is just self-aware enough to poke fun at the comparison. The game throws quite a few jabs and easter eggs at Aperture Science. Sometimes they are funny, sometimes they are a bit too on the nose. The humor aims in the same direction as Portal, even if it does not quite reach the same heights. That said, it is definitely not "Temu Portal." It stands well on its own. The puzzles are solid, easy to understand and introduce new mechanics at a nice pace. A few of them even had me staring at the screen for a while, which is always a good sign. It also does not overstay its... spotlight. Mechanically the game is very polished and the light/shadow concept works really well. The art style fits it perfectly. One small complaint though: I turned the brightness all the way down and still occasionally felt like I was looking into a flashbang. There are also some very cheeky achievements. I found one or two by accident, but there is absolutely no chance I would have discovered the rest without a guide. Overall, I had a good time with it and would definitely recommend picking it up …

Very challenging game. I would definitely compare it to Portal. Keeps you thinking of what you should do next to accomplish the task. I enjoyed it very much.
