Probably the second worst campaign I ever played. The zombies are fun but everything after is just complete garbage. You either play how the level was designed or you lose. On all difficulties. You also unlock things over time to use in the campaign. Doesn't matter. Got a cool ability? Don't care. Got a cool new building? Hope it works into the level. If not, you're not using it. The ending level was the biggest slap in the face too. The alien race is completely useless except for it's terribly overpowered titan. If you beat the red faction and YOU WILL as the tank doesn't self heal like every other one does, you have 5 minutes to win. In character? Sure! Is it fun? No. You forgot to make it fun. And then you have to beat every other titan. If you didn't plan ahead, you lose. If you can't corner it, you lose. Then when you do win you unlock global conquest. Essentially, flood the entire map with units and the rest of the map doesn't REALLY matter except for building defences. One of the biggest let downs ever. You had a good premise at the start of the campaign. Stop FORCING a playstyle after you introduce a few of them. Let the campaign be a challenge to be taken from multiple…

Great game that at first makes you think its quite shallow but has a large campaign and quite a bit of depth.

As someone who grew up playing Advance Wars, I could immediately see where this game gets a lot of its inspiration from. The problem is that despite all the new ideas it tries to add, I'd still rather just go play Advance Wars. The first thing that nearly killed my interest was the tutorial. Tutorials are supposed to get players excited about a game's mechanics and hook them into the experience. Instead, this one felt like an endless chore that dragged on forever. By the end of it, I wasn't excited to keep playing—I just wanted it to be over. The controls and movement system are also far more complicated than they need to be. Rather than giving you straightforward control over your units, you're constantly fighting with awkward pathing tools that make simple maneuvers feel frustrating. The combat itself never really clicked either. Unlike Advance Wars, where battles feel predictable and strategic, D.O.T. Defence often feels chaotic for all the wrong reasons. The pacing is another issue. Progression feels unnecessarily slow, with features and content locked behind grinding when there honestly isn't enough content to justify stretching things out. The game also feels rough around the…
