What people say about Forgotten Tales

What a fantastic solitaire game, it even has a fantastic story to go along with it.
I loved the features, the graphics, and the Solitaire game, but most of all, it has a very interesting story, enjoy!
- pennmom36, Big Fish Games

I love this solitaire game! It’s colorful, the characters are funny the story line is cute. It’s different than most of the other solitaire games which can get repetitive and therefore boring. I would recommend this game. - Mernon54, Big Fish Games

✦ AI summary

Players praise this Day of the Dead-themed solitaire game for its charming, colorful graphics and unique story, though opinions split sharply on the gameplay itself. While some find the card-matching mechanic pleasant and enjoy the variety of purchasable special cards, others criticize the lack of genuine strategy and randomness, arguing it's more about clicking cards in predetermined order than actual solitaire gameplay. A consistent complaint is that the later levels become increasingly grindy and push players toward spending currency on special cards, with some reporting technical bugs like

Huh. My review of this game appears to have disappeared. So I am leaving a new one. Yes, I recommend this game. If you enjoy solitaire card games, this one has a rather unique theme and story. Día de los Muertos, or Day Of The Dead- a day where ancestors and those who have passed on are remembered and celebrated. The story and tasks you must complete are different than in most other solitare games. Graphics are cute, and clean- colorful and funny. Not many settings to adjust, but you can turn the music down or off if it isn't to your liking. Typical of many solitaire games, there will be grind and many replays of hands to get all achievements and a perfect game. The game did have some bugs with audio back when I played it (quite some time ago). I do not know if all bugs were fixed since then, but none of them affected my gameplay- they just affected some of the game's ambiance. My playtime shows how long it took me to achieve a perfect game and unlock all achievements. (Yes... grind is a thing here.) Full price- your $/hour ratio is good, but at the current Summer Sale price it's a steal.

Ok, look, I can't recommend this game being a Solitaire game. this is because it just has NOTHING to do with playing solitaire, apart from featuring ye olde standard card set. Graphics are okaish but nothing special with next to nothing in regards of special effects. Sound effects and music are equally forgettable but still ok for a casual game like this. So why do I not recommend this game, you may ask? Because this game is not casual it's silly. You always get the right card to continue playing, so there is no real strategy or luck involved. It's just clicking the cards in the right order and that's it. Even the special cards cannot change anything about this. Furthermore the endgame gets pretty grindy. In fact you better not spend any mony or bonus cards in the earlier levels just for fun because you will need everything you got within the last ten levels of the game. On top of this you will encounter several bugs during playthrough reaching from displaying the wrong card on the deck (!!!) quitting out of levels for nothing and returning to the main screen and counting errors for when there have been none during levels where error-free play is the achievement. In conclu…

Forgotten Tales: Day of the Dead is a relaxing solitaire adventure developed and published by Green Sauce Games that blends traditional card gameplay with a colorful story inspired by the spirit of the Day of the Dead celebration. Instead of presenting a simple collection of solitaire boards, the game builds a lighthearted fantasy adventure around Manuel, who embarks on a dangerous journey through the realm of the dead after the woman he loves, Maria, is taken away by a sinister force. This narrative gives players a meaningful reason to progress beyond simply completing card layouts, turning each victory into another step toward rescuing Maria while uncovering charming locations and meeting unusual inhabitants of the afterlife. At its heart, the gameplay follows the familiar mechanics that solitaire fans will recognize, but it gradually expands the experience with creative objectives and steadily increasing challenges. Every stage introduces unique card arrangements that require thoughtful planning rather than random clicking, encouraging players to carefully manage their available moves while making good use of boosters and collectible items. Coins earned throughout the adventure…

I feel like this game went fine until the last 15 or so levels. I started getting a lot of glitches where my extra cards power up just didnt give me anything, i had -2 jokers somehow, and keys/hammers took forever to actually use because its so picky. I do not recommend.
