But i'm also not trying to make this a really fast paced shooter game like quake or similar." come on bruh you don't have to give us quake speeds just something so its not so bad to play the game. Another thing is the insane amounts of padding to where the dev makes levels unnecessarily long and the most obvious one was were you needed to find like ALMOST 30 DISKS of company leaks. At that point I knew I was gonna refund the game and then the dev does the next worse thing after that in part 4 where you have to push one button then back track to the main door and rinse and repeat. It's pretty good, generally speaking. It feels slow in terms of walking, changing weapons, etc., but still enjoyable. Sometimes I caught myself pressing shift hoping in vain I'd get some kind of speed increase- even a slow jog would have been like a ray of sunshine. Only a mild selection of monsters and weapons, but everything is okay.. aerosol flamethrower sucks and will get you killed though. It also could have used more story, lore, and things to see and read, but maybe that's just me. The sound design is excellent; good music similar to 70's-80's horror, satisfying sound effects (for some reason the sound breaking the fatbergs is really satisfying), and the sound queues are really spot on. Audio-wise, very well done. Sometimes it's details like that, that can make or break a game and this one does well in that department. I also enjoyed the copious references to other horror movies and games, which always kept me smiling. All in all, not bad. Not worth 9 bucks, though.

I initially assumed Fatberg would simply be a retread of Revenge of the Colon, trading intestines for sewers. I was wrong. Mechanically, Fatberg is considerably more complex and engaging (however, that is NOT to say that it is a complex and engaging experience). It plays much more like a proper first-person shooter, whereas Revenge of the Colon feels more like a medical-themed cleaning simulator with occasional FPS mechanics thrown into the mix. That being said, Revenge of the Colon has the more developed narrative. Fatberg's story is essentially: the sewer is ****ed; get down there and clean up the fatbergs or you're fired. Naturally, while down there, you'll encounter some Lovecraftian terrors and a more developed narrative. Unfortunately, Fatberg does not have the same "tightness" with regards to the concise delivery of Revenge of the Colon..in other words, it feels a bit long when one considers the amount of content. Different settings aside, these games are more distinct than they initially appear, and Fatberg's stronger, more action-oriented gameplay gives it its own identity which i enjoyed for its straightforward, sci-fi-horror aesthetic and gameplay. unfortunately this game starts strong but is probably 3 times longer than it should be. constantly start dozing off while doing nothing but walking through empty corridors.

Game feels like a parody of indie horrors. Even tho theme sounds funny in theory, in practice gameplay and level design is so dull it feels like a chore and race to finish it before 2 hours.

Great indie horror, creepy monsters, straight-forward gameplay. I would've liked to be able to run/increase movement speed, as walking the entire game feels slow paced compared to everything else.
