1001 Hugs, version 2, has a new game story.
It's an adventure with lots of hugs, pitter patter of little feet, laughter and giggles, slamming doors, flying teddy bears, bursting water balloons, and slippery puddles!

- Now you are in Elfland with a special mission to collect Christmas presents throughout 16 levels and bring them to Santa.
- To pass levels you need to open portals; to do that you hug 4 key elves, and in return they get a candy cane.
- But you have only 1001 candy canes. Elves try to stop you by making you lose them before you reach Santa!

I'm playing Steam games in alphabetical order and you can watch my review here: https://youtu.be/1U6B08y_arA Prefer to read? 1001 Hugs is a developers valiant attempt at making a non-violent third-person shooter for children, that ends up being accidentally incredibly uncomfortable by making the central gameplay mechanic revolve around bribing kids with candy in order to hug them. In the process of making a game that parents would want their children to play, they've managed to create a game that children wouldn't want to play. I could go on about how terrible the AI is, how the sprinting makes me feel motion sick, how bland the level design is, but realistically the only thing that needs to be mentioned to steer anyone else away that was still reading after the first sentence is that they added microtransactions for cosmetics.4 found this helpful

Игра '1001 Hugs' — это настоящий глоток свежего воздуха в мире казуальных игр. Ее очарование кроется в простоте и искренности. Идея собрать как можно больше объятий, перемещая милого персонажа по уютным локациям, подкупает с первых минут. Графика здесь не претендует на реализм, но обладает неповторимым шармом: мягкие пастельные тона, забавные анимации и приятная музыка создают атмосферу полного расслабления. Управление интуитивно понятное, так что разобраться сможет даже ребенок. Но не стоит недооценивать глубину: с каждым уровнем игра предлагает новые механики, головоломки и испытания, которые заставят вас немного пошевелить мозгами. Особенно радует отсутствие агрессии и напряжения, присущих многим современным играм. '1001 Hugs' — это про доброту, уют и маленькие радости. Она идеально подходит для того, чтобы отвлечься от суеты, снять стресс и просто получить дозу позитива. Настоятельно рекомендую всем, кто ищет что-то светлое и доброе!
