A Realm of Eternity

A low effort Idle/clicker game in a long line of them all about Steam inventory items to make money with no over-sight for poor gaymers.

Functional Steam-inventory waifu-JPEG dropper, but not much else here. I have varying amounts of each one, but they are not clearly marked as 'rare' or 'common' or anything. I still like to run it though, because I don't have excessive-amounts of them all. There are some with only 1 or 2 owned still, indicating to me that they are rarer and there are potentially more to still get. Dev needs to mark off what is rare or common in their item definitions. Leaderboards are meaningless. Glory points are meaningless. Woo my whole game actually has become reset and I have 0 clicks, 0 glory points like I am just a brand new user. Still though, I like the idea of these item-dropper games. This one edging dangerously close to downvote territory, but still functions as an item game and the pictures are not broken. Needs some work for sure. 780 hours later are the items I have 1-2 of even rare? Everything is just gray quality with grey-squared items. Last update 3 months ago, maybe they figure things out and a path to continue forward into the future. If left in it's current state indefinitely, it would become a downvote in like 2 years for sure.

A Realm of Eternity is an extremely simple clicker game, but I found the collectible character idea more entertaining than I expected. I play as a Seeker travelling through Eternia and gradually building a collection of Eternals, which are fantasy characters with different personalities, stories and rarities. The whole thing is clearly designed around collecting rather than traditional gameplay, and I think it works best when I treat it as a relaxing little side activity. The main mechanic is simply clicking to call new Eternals into my collection. New characters appear over time, so there is a nice sense of anticipation when I check back in to see what has arrived. I liked the straightforward nature of this because there is almost no barrier between starting the game and understanding what I am supposed to be doing. The collection system gives the game most of its motivation. Characters have different rarity levels, and each one has its own personality and bits of lore to discover. I enjoyed looking through the collection and reading about the characters because it gives the otherwise basic clicking loop a reason to continue.
