About Adventure Lamp
A cave-in has separated Simon, the highly prepared archaeologist, from his equipment. With nothing but a head lamp and his wits, Simon would very much like to stay alive long enough to return his notes to The Academy for study.
He must get creative with his hat as he discovers hostile creatures, ancient locks, and hints of a terrible monster lurking in the depths. After such a treacherous journey, a promotion wouldn't hurt either.

For one reason or another, it seems like video game characters never really have time to smile. Most of them are either heading off to war, saving the world, or righting a grave injustice, and these stressful situations lead to plenty of world-weary bald men fighting for a better life. Thankfully, some characters just seem happy to be here. Simon from Adventure Lamp seems like one of those. Sure, he was stranded by a cave-in, and he does have to traverse through five worlds with only a particularly resilient hat to aid him, but at least he seems excited about going on an adventure. Once you play through the first few stages of Simon’s game, you’ll probably share in that excitement too. Want to know more? Super cute game with a lot of heart. Controls very well with a gamepad. Fun platforming challenges!1 found this helpful
Cute and fun. A unique platformer with a straightforward but interesting mechanic. Nothing too special, but a good game for a fair price.1 found this helpful
I loved this game! The controls are very good. The game eases you into each aspect of challanges. It is ideal for speed runners and casual gamers. Pro tip: Try every mode, you wont be dissapointed.1 found this helpful
Horrible controls and really boring.1 found this helpful
It may be unfair to evaluate a 2016 game in 2025 but this was a painful game design. The hat trajectory is pretty hard to predict and it messes with all the switches in the levels, which is intended, but nothing else than frustrating. Plus the game crashed twice when I first launched it. An achievement to finish the game in less than 30 minutes ? With such random behavior, not worse the try. Animations and graphics are pretty polished however. May be a good Ludum Dare exercise, but as a full sold game, it wasn't a great playing experience for me.
