About Aerial_Knight's DropShot

Aerial_Knight’s Dropshot is a high-speed, stylized FPS / Race where you play as Smoke Wallace. As a kid, he was bitten by a radioactive dragon, turning his skin purple and giving him the power to fire bullets from his fingertips. Thrown into deadly sky battles for revenge, you race rivals, fight dragons, move fast, shoot smart, and look cool when you land.

Features

  • Survive the Fall: Race against four other players to reach the ground first — and stay alive.
  • Limited Ammo: Start with only limited ammo. Use it wisely to eliminate threats & protect yourself.
  • Slipstream Speed: Use your enemies’ slipstreams to gain speed, but they can do the same to you.
  • Quick Rounds: Each round lasts 30-60 seconds — fast-paced action that never lets up.
  • Dynamic Visuals: Stunning environments and thrilling perspectives as you plummet toward the earth.
  • Intense Soundtrack: Pulse-pounding music and sound effects with some style

Game Modes

In Aerial_Knight’s DropShot, you’ve got three unique ways to throw yourself out of a perfectly "good" plane:
  • Standard Mode – You and a swarm of enemies are dropped into freefall. Take out as many as you can before hitting the ground while dodging bullets, avoiding obstacles, and making sure you’re not the one getting taken out.
  • Boss Battles – Face off against massive, over-the-top bosses in midair. Deal as much damage as possible before they either wipe you out or beat you to the ground. All while avoiding deadly traps, jamming to a dope soundtrack, and keeping your head on a swivel.
  • Race Challenges – Go head-to-head with your persistent rival in a high-speed dive to capture a falling Egg before they do. Hit slipstreams, grab score multipliers, and watch out every time you beat them, they’ll upgrade their gear and come back faster in the next race.
Live out your dream of finger-blasting multiple enemies as you all fall to your death.

Without any introduction, the game drops you straight onto a level select screen. The first chapter is already unlocked and lets you pick any of its five stages. Naturally, the first stage feels like the right place to begin, and it comes with a brief explanation of who you are and what exactly is going on. For completely bonkers reasons, you were bitten by a radioactive dragon, which changed the color of your skin and gave you the ability to shoot bullets from your fingertips. Unfortunately, your family wasn’t nearly as lucky and ended up in a dragon’s stomach instead of gaining superpowers. Now your mission is to wipe out every dragon by jumping out of an airplane. Of course, things can’t be that simple, because a group of mercenaries is jumping alongside you, hoping to capture the dragons and their eggs for themselves, and you’re not about to let that happen. Gameplay is straightforward and feels a lot like old arcade games where chasing high scores matters just as much as finishing the stage. Once you’re thrown out of the plane, your goal is to reach the finish line while shooting mercenaries with your gun, using melee attacks when they get too close or when you run out of bu…

I think this might be the first review I've ever left on Steam! Read about this game on The Verge, so it had been on my wishlist for a while. Booted it up. Visually, lots of rough edges, but that's fine. Played through the first couple of levels. Kinda fun! Very arcade-like, super short levels. Get to the first boss fight, some kind of dragon. Played it probably 20 times, not dying, just not able to knock out the dragon before reaching the finish line. The boss is off-screen most of the time, and the camera won't let you move 360 degrees, so you can't aim at the dragon most of the time. Just kinda move your camera around following the arrow on the side of the screen hoping the boss will come into view. I adjust my strategy; only have 10 bullets, and every once in a while the boss gets close enough that you can shoot it. I've just gotta be smart. I try chasing the dragon more intently (something the game has never asked you to do until this point). Oh whoops, there are invisible walls for the gameplay area, and if you accidentally leave and can't get back to the play area (which is again invisible, so you just guess) the game fails you. So, that's not it, and the boss doesn't stay …

Slick, fun with a style that's completely unique, Aerial Knight's DropShot is a breath of fresh air whizzing past at 200 mph. The levels are perfectly timed, with some unique boss battles at the end of each pillar, a touch that I appreciated. The visuals are something else, bright, engaging, with a look that builds on the aesthetic AK's been building in his previous games. It's not all perfect - It can be a bit hard to pick out certain enemies at range, and while the reloading mechanic is solid design, a few more rounds in each clip would make a positive difference. Then again, my reflexes tend to lean towards spray and pray, so if the creator's vision in this area doesn't align perfectly with mine, so be it :D Can I call out the music, not just the menu tunes but the in-game stingers as well? Full of personality and weirdness, but cool as hell to listen to and not only complements the gameplay, but helps bring it to another level. Really, really well done. I've been playing the mobile version more due to lots of travel, but now that I'm back home I'll be focusing on the Steam version. Aerial Knight seems to be quite responsive to bug reports, and there have been quite a few u…

I'm enjoying the game so far! I really love how colorful it is and it reminds me of a drawing. The only complaint I really have is that I wish there were more of those speed ring things..

Fun, wild game with an absolute banger soundtrack. You use your finger gun to shoot telekinetic bullets at mercenaries and dragons while skydiving and dodging lasers. It's a game that can easily be completed in an afternoon/evening, but that's quite okay! It's a ton of fun!

This game rules! Simple concept excuted really well, gets you right into the action within about 60 seconds, feels great to handle and easy to learn, and leaves you satisfied after every mission. The missions being about 60 seconds each means you can easily iterate, try different things, fail, and succeed without a huge commitment - and that ability to do that makes this replayable and fun. Great stuff and excellent vibes on top of all of that!
