Pretty Good and simple, tailored to new players yet surprisingly hard when first beginning. However, this game either runs extremely slow at its core, or is extremely slow specifically for me. Making the game turn into long-winded games of grinding up coins, spawn troops or upgrade military technology, invade. Now do this for every country in South America. The unrest mechanic as well as the national focuses are cool, but unrest is extremely op with the cash reduction it gives. And unfortunately the National focuses just take too long. Going from the year 2022 to year 2082 and only having completed 4 national focuses feels too slow, considering the underwhelming 'buff' that it gives that you can purchase in the diplomacy menu. Game was very fun, its a shame it wasn't running as quickly, very good for its early stages I would recommend and like to see how it develops into a fully-fledged strategy game!6 found this helpful
Awesome game, like the board WAR it has simple mechanics and is very fun! The challenges increase as you progress through the map conquest making a new experience each time, need to balance your strategy properly wich makes every move decisive.1 found this helpful
I do appreciate that this is a solo developer, and I like the idea as South America often doesn't get much love in strategy games, but it is currently not good enough. Firstly it is a lot of waiting around and doing nothing to get anywhere. You accumulate money painfully slowly, especially if you are playing as anyone other than Brazil/Argentina. The economy is also poorly modeled and difficult to develop. You can invest in a settlement to increase its income, but doing so is absolutely foolish - it will take about 32 in-game years to recoup your investment and that is assuming the territory is never occupied by an enemy army. If this happens, the investment is automatically gone. Therefore the only sensible option is to invest in military and military technology. There is a small tech tree but again the only sensible option is to rush the military branch. The other branches only increase your income by +1 per month - in a game where you need 288 coins by default to build a single soldier. Overall the economy is just too slow to feel satisfying. There is diplomacy where you can ally with up to two other nations but this is also half-baked. Allies only seem good for financial ai…
