About Ailment
Hey guys! My name is Ivan, and I'm the creator of Ailment. I'm a solo developer and this one is my very first game. I started not a long time ago, and it took me around 9 months to complete this game, drawing and coding and doing lots of other stuff related to game development. Originally the game was made for iOS and Android phones, and it was released on May 1, 2019, and it got downloaded around 250K times within 3 months with pretty good reviews (4.6 AppStore/GooglePlay). It became Game of the Day on AppStore on September 28, and it got into the Indie Corner on Google Play Store and still remains there. It seemed insane for me, for a newbie solo-developer who never has made a game before. Players were asking whether Ailment would be released on PC, and now there you go! Check it out and let me know your thoughts!"I thought this game was just another cheap ad-packed waste, but I started playing and found it fun and challenging. Definitely download"
This is a really well put together game! Even for just having one person working on it and handling it, the game looks and feels very professional and is just really fun to play. Within an hour or 2 of playing it, I immediately recommended the game to my friends! All around it's a great game.

"I never write reviews about games or other apps just because I don't get passionate enough to take the time to write a review. However, this game has changed that for me. This game is really well thought out with a bunch of little hidden eggs from space movies. Really enjoyed the game while it lasted. Really hope these guys will come out with another game like this! Would even be paying a few dollars for it.""
"Lived up to my expectations. I definitely recommend it to whoever is reading this."

Ailment is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a lazy, greedy cash grab. It's a "template flip", that is to say, it's a "game" that has been produced by copying a game template or using a game construction kit, and changing a few things. In this case it was a Unity game template for making a basic 2D retro pixel top down shooter. In fairness, the developer did slap a few bits of custom level design and story over the template, but it's of very poor quality. This is deplorably low quality bundle trash. No professional effort was made in terms of game development, copying a template/using a game construction kit requires no talent, and unsurprisingly makes products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. It's almost as bad as an outright asset flip. Once more we see greedy mobile devs trying to scam PC gamers. They want $6 USD for this free mobile app! Mobile devs must learn PC gamers are not here to be gouged, and can't be expected to pay a premium for a free mobile app just because it's been lazily dumped on Steam. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I cou…19 found this helpful
You find yourself awaken without memories of what happened after being unconscious for three days. All of the crew on the ship are attacking you and looking really close to zombies. Time to get your memories back and find out the truth of what happened. Ailment is a pixel-art action game which takes place on a spaceship in a far far galaxy. You go from room to room, shooting your crewmates turned to zombies and collecting more weapons and searching the ship for clues. You can find some companions in some rooms to help you on your journey through the ship, but even they will eventually fail and die. I really liked the game, though it was slightly too repetitive. There was also some bugs where some enemies had spawned outside the map's walls, so I entered combat often when I didn't want to do that, especially when you can't interact with containers and computers when you are in combat. Either way, the game is short enough to complete and cheap enough to be worth it for sure. Recommended!5 found this helpful
A really cool game. I had a lot of fun playing it. The controls is snappy (maybe a little bit wiggly with a controller). The gameplay is fast and juicy and the story is interesting and has some sweet surprises.4 found this helpful
Developer/Publisher: Ivan Panasenko Published: October 23, 2019 Excellent Sci-Fi/Horror Shooter. There are three difficulty modes. Easy, Normal, and Hardcore. I have played all three modes, and I got to tell you in all honesty that even in Normal I've managed to last only 24 minutes at most. Easy I can play for well over an hour. This game is highly addictive however, so I'll be playing it a lot. Also, I'm moving it to my FAVORITES. 'Nuff said. MUSIC and SOUND EFFECTS Excellent! The title music makes me think of John Carpenter. When you come across the mutated the music and sound effects combine to make for a very eerie experience. GRAPHICS I'd say quite good, especially for such a reasonably priced game. CONTROLS Keyboard, Mouse, Controller, and any combo of which that you prefer. In fact I use all 3 in tandem, and it's not the least bit awkward. COOL TOUCHES: References to Alien and Star Trek. The end boss surprised me, SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM: OS: Windows 7 or higher Processor: Intel Core i3 Memory: 2 GB RAM Graphics: dedicated graphics card (opengl 3.0 support or higher) DirectX: Version 10 Storage: 200 MB available space CONCLUSION If you like run and gun shooters …3 found this helpful

Ailment has a very simple gameplay and is very short, it’s a bit unpolished and from what I’ve seen is a android game ported to pc, but I like it’s story.I’ll give it a 👍 because at least I didn’t encounter anything that prevented my from finishing it.You get what you paid for.1 found this helpful
