Amazing Curves Racing

I went into this game not really knowing what to expect, but man, such a blast. First of all, it feels perfect. The racing itself has just the right amount of drag and "tightness" where you have complete faith in your driving abilities immediately. It feels as good as Forza, for example, no hyperbole. Team knocked it out of the park nailing the feel. What really grabbed my attention was the control over the camera. Personally, I really liked the zoomed out feel, it felt very hot wheels, but for those that want the first person FOV, it's totally there. Gameplay wise, It’s all about momentum and nailing the perfect line, which makes every race feel super satisfying when you get it right, even though I couldn't get first place for the life of me. Total skill issue on my part. Oh! I should also definitely mention -- while unexpected, this game has some immediately charming physics. The cars will bump, fly, and careen off the track in a really great "video game" way. It felt very Burnout, very Criterion. Loved seeing that. Also, really stylish main menu. This is a fun little low-stress driving game from a solo developer, and I love it. It has full wheel support if you're wanting to run it on your sim rig, but also supports controllers, online multiplayer (public and private lobbies), and an AI that is so much like driving with other real people, you'll be terrified. The developer is working on adding telemetry integration with the major software players in that space. I found this game from a Reddit post and have not regretted my purchase in the slightest. I love to put people into my sim rig in this game who aren't necessarily into racing and just want to have an old-school arcade experience without worrying about trail breaking or learning to drive a manual transmission. It is phenomenally fun and instantly clicks with people who try it. The physics engine is far too detailed for what the game is, which is a lot of its charm. Think "we're simulating everything" kind of like Helldivers does, only you're in a racecar. Anything can (and does) happen when you stop trying to simulate driving and start simulating physics.
