Apples in the Abyss is a puzzle platformer that I found much more interesting than the simple idea of collecting apples might suggest. The whole game is built around manipulating space itself, and I liked how quickly it starts making me think differently about the level around me. Instead of just jumping from platform to platform, I am constantly looking at the environment and wondering how I can change it to create a path forward. The hole ability is one of my favourite mechanics. I can tear a square hole into the level and remove whatever is inside it, including parts of the terrain. The space around the hole then gets pulled toward the vacuum, which can also give my character momentum. I really enjoyed experimenting with this because it is useful for both changing the level and moving myself around it. A simple looking hole can completely change how I approach a puzzle. The rotation ability is where things get even more interesting. I can rotate a section of the environment, and rotating myself changes the direction of gravity. Apples in the Abyss is a creative puzzle platformer developed by Floppy Fish and Sooah and published by Floppy Fish Studios. Rather than building its challenge around traditional jumping sequences alone, the game introduces a collection of unusual abilities that allow players to manipulate the surrounding space. The basic objective of collecting apples sounds simple, but reaching them can require considerable spatial reasoning. Platforms, gravity, momentum, and the geometry of the environment all become pieces of a larger puzzle, giving the game an identity that feels distinct from more conventional entries in the genre. The most immediately interesting mechanic is the ability to create holes in space. Players can remove a square section of the environment in a selected direction, affecting objects and terrain caught within the chosen area. Nearby material can then be pulled toward the resulting empty space, and the effect can also influence the player's movement. This makes the ability much more versatile than a simple tool for destroying obstacles. Great game! Found on the discovery queue and immediately peaked interest. Some great mechanics; I jumped in totally blind, didn't even watch the gameplay video. Every new discovery felt great. Loved how open-ended the solutions were. The final challenge level was a super satisfying solve

Strangely there's something about this game that reminds me a lot of the kind of games that I played in my childhood, specifically Flash games such as "This is the only level", etc. However, the gameplay here is a lot more puzzle-oriented. The best part of this is that it's a puzzle game that really feels as if your imagination is the limit when trying to figure out the solution - there is no particular "correct" way to solve them. Definitely worth playing, it's a good time for free after all.

Incredibly fun tight nit experience!!!! XP i rlly lke it!!!!! I'm stuck on 28 and ill edit this when i beat it but like omg its soooo hard!!!! i hope the game gets new updates soon cause its potential is limiteless!!!!
