About Dimenshift

While investigating strange occurrences on a now-desolate planet, you fall through a portal that takes you to a strange place.

Welcome to "The Disparate",

a space outside of our Universe, where the physical laws don't quite seem to work right. A space where direction is meaningless.

As you try to escape this maze-like dimension, use the Dimenshift Device to "shift" through walls and evade the "Machines". Explore a strange place that doesn't quite make sense. Discover secrets, and maybe uncover the mysterious origins of this place.

What lies deeper in the Disparate?

Is it danger? Power? Fiction? Reality?

…Hope?

Features:

  • A maze of levels requiring exploration to successfully navigate. Enjoy going in circles and feeling lost and confused!
  • Unique, challenging, and puzzling platforming mechanics. Shift through walls, re-orient yourself, and pay close attention...
  • Lots of secrets, including logs left by a scientist working on a mysterious project. Might these reveal the origins of this strange place?
  • 3D auto-runner bonus levels. Can you reach the end of each of them?
  • Strange and original music emanating from this dimension, adding to the mysterious atmosphere...

This is a fun little puzzler that has you thinking at all times, as the levels are meant to tutorialize you on new mechanics naturally when they become relevant. An example being how the instinct to dodge the first entities will keep you dodging them until the level naturally causes you to fall on one and see that this type is safe to land on. As you continue, you'll start to find new paths that weren't obvious before and shows you that this is a knowledge-based progression game. I'm still early in the game, but I already think the game was worth picking up. Hopefully more people give it a shot.

Don't let the stylized graphics fool you, this game is epic. Great platforming gameplay, a whole world to explore, lore and backstory, non-linear progression. Tons of replayability. Definitely way more than meets the eye, and the deeper you get, the more you realize you've barely scratched the surface. Highly recommend. P.S. I found this game extremely difficult. Don't expect to just cruise through it on your first try, and that's not the point. Slow down and take your time, enjoy the process.
