About Battle for Mountain Throne

Battle for the Mountain Throne is immersive VR game about Bloody Wars between inhabitants of Mountain Kingdom: Dwarves, Goblins and other deadly cave dwellers.

You will take the role of mighty Hero from Dwarven people, who is ready to crush thousands of enemies both on top of the snowy peak and much deeper in the shade of dungeons to confirm your rights on the Mountain Throne!

There are plenty of battles with enemy hordes and powerful monsters, deadly traps and large, hard to conquer levels in the game.

The Game consists of several battles at different locations with numerous opponents.
Player gets various combinations of weapons, optimal for passing each level, selected from these types:
- handgun,
- battle axe,
- war hammer,
- shield,
- bombs.

Main objective on the level usually is one of these tasks:
- simple victory over all waves of opponents,
- survival for a certain time,
- passing through the level.

Important game's feature - complete physical interactions with opponents:
- strong hammer blows allow to throw enemy into the abyss,
- accurate shots lead them to turning over,
- targeted attacks are blocked by the shield.

It is worth to note that opponents are not easy prey - if player looks aside and miss several attacks, enemies can get him shortly.
Game is really challenging and even most experienced players can enjoy.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
Full disclosure: I got this game free from the Steam Curator program. I did not play it for 1.8 hours. I think I idled for about 1 hour of that play period. So I didn't finish the game, which is something I would normally do when I get a game on the Steam Curator program as I feel it is my obligation to fully experience the game before I can review it. Which is weird, because I don't feel the same way when I purchase a game. I feel when I buy a game I can review it on my first impression of the game, before getting past the 2 hour mark of no return. In any event, there's a reason why I am reviewing the game after playing it for only about 45-50 minutes. That's because I couldn't get past a level/wave because of a game breaking-bug which prevented me from progressing. I tried several attempts to get past the bridge crossing level, to no avail as each time I would eventually lose my axe weapon. Without a weapon, you can't attack and kill the mobs necessary to get past the bridge. This happened repeatedly. I have no idea why you can lose your weapon. Once you grab a weapon or shield, they should stick to your h…

"Battle for Mountain Throne" is a badly made VR exclusive wave survival shooter/brawler. You're in a room, and waves of samey goblins come at you, so you kill them with various medieval weapons with your VR controllers. Ok. It's badly made, with many reports of extremely bad hit detection, bad physics, bad everything. I wouldn't be surprised if this is an asset flip, it seems unlikely a developer would allocate so much time and money developing very nice looking game assets only to slap them onto a barely working tech demo/minimum viable product/shovelware cash grab like this. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer any real value as a serious PC game. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes the game great is the VR, then the game isn't great at all. The poor quality of this game is reflected by ho…

Overview: it`s like there is a Game, but it isn`t :) - move and positioning is too limited - graphics could do a lot better - physics sort of 2/10 - something that should be Very High for such a game! - for explosions, only sounds works - here is the thing, weapons cannot be properly used to enjoy fighting: enemy is either too close and nothing happens Or is at distance and not much interactive results

Difficult to control, sometimes weapon disappeared. Boring and repetitive. Not recommended.
