A decent RPGMaker horror game with a good amount of easy but engaging puzzles. Much like the rest of the game the art is competent, but doesn’t particularly stand out. What I would say was decently memorable in my opinion was the music, which was atmospheric and fitting most of the time. Only during the finale a small tone shift occurred with heroic music swelling which took me out of the emersion a bit. While most of the puzzles were overall rather easy, they were still engaging both in the great number they came in as well as how some of them chain together. A few puzzles actually didn’t have their answers hidden in the game aside from a hint, but had to be answered with common knowledge. Both of regular things[spoiler]such as the number 13 being considered unfortunate[/spoiler]as well as game design[spoiler]with the purple liquid commonly symbolizing poison[/spoiler], which was rather interesting. As a familiar setup the story requires the player character to escape the place they’re trapped in. RPG Maker strikes again! "Before you get trapped in the black lilies" is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. Notably, the "developer" couldn't work out how to use RPG Maker to make a JRPG (the only thing it can do, and it's terrible at it). Instead, we have a godawfully cringey narrative adventure, more e-book than game. And guess what the subject of this RPG Maker asset flip is? Yes, it's the developers imaginary girlfriend/waifu, a suspiciously underaged looking young girl with amnesia. That's not creepy at all, is it? Oh yeah, it's creepy as all hell. Noah, get the boat. Creepy and cringey subject matter aside, as with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC …

A cute little rpgmaker horror game. It's not special or unique but I like the art and idea behind it. Pretty enjoyable.

It's not often that I am impressed with a free to play game. It's also not often that I'm impressed with RPG Maker type games. But this game really hits the spot. Aside from some translation issues, this game is spooky, but has a heart. It also has multiple "bad" endings but as long as you use the save spots often (they look like blue crystal blobs) you won't have to go too far back to resume your game. The puzzles are good, one was challenging but I managed to complete all of them. The plot is excellent, and if you are an anime fan, this game is for you. Absolutely give it a try. Rating: 8.5/10
