About Bloom Paradise
Story
Every nook and cranny in Bloom Paradise was once filled with flowers of every color, until one day when pesky pests came and ravaged the land, rendering it unrecognizable. Thus, flower fairies Tamabo and Hanabo have joined forces, setting off on an adventure to restore Bloom Paradise to its former glory and get rid of those irksome pests. How to Play
Play as either Tamabo (Player 1) or Hanabo (Player 2) and make flowers bloom. Fill all the grounds in each stage to clear it. How you bloom flowers differs between single-player mode and two-player mode. In single-player mode, flowers bloom on the ground as Tamabo walks across. In two-player mode, however, when either Tamabo or Hanabo walks across the ground, only flower buds appear. The other character must then touch these buds to make them bloom. Work together to take back Bloom Paradise from the pests. Both Tamabo and Hanabo can shoot water in the direction they're facing with the use of the attack button. Flowers can't bloom when the ground is covered in mud, so use water to clean up and eradicate any pests standing in your way.Features
・100 total stages・19 types of bothersome yet likable pests
・Single-player and two-player coop modes with differing ways to play
・Game design reminiscent of late 80s arcade games

Excellent Bubble Bobble-inspired arcade game. Nothing is explained but it doesn't take long to figure out that you need to plant flowers across each level, and you do that by walking over each section of grass. Your one power is a water spout which shoots from your character and sweeps away everything in front of it, but if you shoot it towards a wall and don't jump in time it'll sweep you up too. You also use your water spout power to turn patches of mud into grass so they can then be walked over to create flowers. Once a level is cleared all the enemies turn into tasty snacks and drinks, yep, like Bubble Bobble. Also letters occasionally appear, spell out EXTEND and get an extra life. And that's it, and that's all a good arcade game needs. It's cute, it's got a great core mechanic, and even the background song is good. A nice one! 8/107 found this helpful
Fun gameplay, an extremely fair credit/life system, great level designs and a great score system. Feels like a true lost arcade claasic4 found this helpful
This game is a love letter to Bubble Bobble and Miner 2049er in gameplay and art style. It's challenging to complete, especially since it needs to be done with no skips and no way to save and restore progress, but such shouldn't be an insurmountable task. While its extra lives are tough to earn, its extra continues seem to come often enough to make a casual playthrough possible with some practice. Playing this game with a second player provides twice as much power to scrub away mud and enemies, which is helpful enough to make inviting a second player worthwhile.2 found this helpful
