blue fish yokohama is a grid-based puzzler (grid optional) where you control a fish in a restaurant with the goal of eating all the ramen. top-down/isometric view, the fish can only jump from liquid to liquid, so landing in an already consumed bowl, on the ground or on top of a patron is ill-advised. the default jump distance is 2, but it changes based on the type of ramen you're in. red is spicy, hence the 3-tile distance, yellow is sticky cheese , reducing it to 1. wall-bounce can be utilized to break the cycle. other mechanics are jump pads that can be used over and over, just like the fish bowl, and conveyor belts moving stuff around after every turn. not a whole lot. 50 levels unlocked through branching progression. no timer, move limit or par, just eat everything. there's unlimited undo, works from a fail state. the first click on level reset is also just undo, gotta click twice (except when it works the first time, so it's buggy and/or inconsistent). no keyboard controls or hotkeys, you'll need a mouse to click icons. there are tooltips (only on levels, not in the menus), plus on-screen level numbers and a goal counter. no camera control…15 found this helpful

This game has some very catchy clever puzzles. Highly recommend for a chill cozy experience. :D2 found this helpful
Blue Fish Yokohama is an absolutely adorable puzzle game that takes players on a tiny adventure through a bustling ramen restaurant. As a blue fish, you'll navigate your way through a series of challenging and cleverly designed levels by jumping from one bowl of ramen to the next, all while solving a variety of fun and challenging riddles. The game's charming premise, which sees players taking on the role of a plucky little fish in a sea of delicious noodles, is both cute and creative, and the game's cute visuals and matching soundtrack only serve to enhance the overall experience. But it's the puzzles themselves that truly make Blue Fish Yokohama standout for me. Each level presents its own unique challenge and brain-teasing riddle that requires a bit of creative thinking to solve. And while some of the later levels can be quite challenging (LEVEL 48 i see you), the game never feels unfair, and the sense of satisfaction that comes from finally figuring out a particularly tricky puzzle is incredibly rewarding. Overall, if you're a fan of puzzle games or just looking for a fun and engaging way to spend a few hours, Blue Fish Yokohama is definitely worth checking out. For me its a…2 found this helpful
▶️ Gameplay
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wXjWkTIBDk&list=PL8dHID1Xu1jcp3j9Z8AKIweYfl3dsawJR&index=2
👍 Pros
+ Cute voxel graphics + Cute sounds/music + Quite straightforward grid-based movement mechanics + You can undo your moves (!!!) to retrace your steps as much as you want + No timers -- take your time to go through each level! + Cozy and safe for work/kids - not stress-inducing if you can't complete it
❗Cons
- While some of the controls are a quite intuitive, some levels completely stumped me (e.g. why is level 5 harder than most of the higher levels?) - Not a lot of textual explanations/labels, e.g. menu buttons don't have labels. I assume this is an aesthetic choice but as someone who's worried/careful about what I'm clicking (lest I accidentally ruin/reset something haha), it's not my favorite UI element. - Stages unlock as you progress, so I couldn't attempt more puzzles because I didn't finish around 6 stages. :(
🤔 Conclusion
I wasn't sure what to expect when I first saw the game title, but this silly puzzle game got me chucklin' a lot while playing. Figuring out how to solve the puzzles and watching the fish hop aroun…1 found this helpful
