Boom Stick is an abandoned Early Access 3D shooter with lazy minimalist low poly "stick figure" characters and low poly environments, written in Java of all things. Gameplay consisted of basic run and gun shooting of stick figures in a somewhat bland ripoff of DooM, but with all the character and joy taken out of it. The game was abandoned roughly one year after launch and hasn't been updated in around 7 months at the time of this review. It blew past the developers commitment to complete the game, the developer formally admitted they gave up. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a res…

Простая, но в то же время захватывающая история, яркая графика и драйвовый саундтрек дополняют картину, делая 'Boom Stick' отличным выбором для тех, кто хочет отвлечься и просто повеселиться, расстреливая всё, что движется.
