A dark, deep forest and a young boy… Survival is key. Josh learned a lot of skills from his father and it is now time to put them to the test. In Bound Forest you will get to build your own shelters and camp fires as well as crafting and upgrading weapons.
Exploration
It is often said that the key to survival is to keep moving. Bound Forest is a massive game with its fair share of exploration even to the experienced RPG veteran. Discover a world full of hidden chests, complex jumping platforms, and plenty of hidden surprises.
Crafting & Harvesting
Who doesn’t love upgrading weapons? Take control of your arsenal and craft wickedly powerful bow and arrows of destruction. Elemental arrows and magical gems will help you cut through your foes. Craft armour and other special items to aid you in your exploration tasks.
Fighting
Take control in Bound forest and fight off wolves, orcs, and other challenging foes. The bow and arrow aiming mechanics combined with using strategic environmental objects creates an addicting gameplay that will keep you coming back for more. [h1] General idea ok. Execution a bit lacking. Character slides on earth and the game is rather slow paced. Survival elements where you gather resources and build stuff. Nothing too complext. VIsuals simplified but have some nice touch like moving foliage and trees in nice way. Sounds are good. Play if you like survival games otherwise skip to da hoop like a basketball ball. "Bound Forest Alpha" is just like it says on the box... not a proper game, it's an alpha test. Why are developers so keen to dump incomplete garbage onto Steam? Does Steam look like a trash can to these guys? Anyway this is just a tech demo where the developers tried and failed to create a cartoony survival game only without knowing how to make such games properly. It's a clunky, buggy, unfinished mess. Hard to say this was even ready to be called an alpha. Despite not being in Early Access, it's obvious this is an incomplete product. Developers have an obligation to deliver complete, not partially done products to gamers, that shouldn't be controversial. Whatever the excuses may be, it does no service to gamers for incomplete products polluting Steam like this. It makes it harder for gamers to find complete games, and it makes it harder for ethical developers who do the right thing to find their audience. The game assets here look a lot better than the actual game they're assembled on... that doesn't mean this is necessarily an asset flip or a kitbash, because there's no proof.
