Capri Care

This generally isn’t my kind of game, but I have to say, I’m really enjoying it! Don’t get me wrong—I love the Sonic games, and the dash levels in Capri Care are great. If you enjoy the Chao Garden aspect of the Sonic games, then you’ll absolutely enjoy this game. There are definitely some quirks that take a little getting used to, but nothing that I don’t think the devs can improve on with some feedback from the community. My biggest—and funniest—experience happened right when I first joined the game. After the opening cutscene, I tried to get up and look around, but the default camera sensitivity was so high that my camera went absolutely everywhere! 😂 It made for a pretty funny and quirky introduction to the game, but it was easily fixed by going into the settings and lowering the sensitivity. After that, I followed the on-screen instructions, which I found to be really helpful. There is A LOT to do in this game, and I think it’s important to understand what kind of game Capri Care is before jumping in. Capri care is an Inspired Sonic adventure game and if you love Chao garden give it a try ! Project is still in the earlys so dont judge to much because the dev works hard to improve the project time to time. i will come back to this game more when it got some more updates <3

For those who enjoyed the Chao Garden from Sonic Adventure, this is the fully realized spiritual successor that we have been wanting! Very cute Capris to collect, raise, and use to compete with, combined with fast and fun race levels that are faithful to the Sonic games, this game has everything for hours of cozy fun with your Capris. Also they're developing a mobile app for you to take your Capris with you on your phone to interact with while you're away from the game! Super fun and well designed for the early access. This game is nostalgic and really brings back old memories of when i was a kid raising chao.

THIS GAME IS IN EARLY ACCESS SO GAME AND REVIRW CAN CHANGE AS I POST THIS REVIEW!!! (Due to that, this is also a short review) Capri Care is a Platform/Pet Simulator-like game where your character traverse around the Hub World doing things like farming, completing puzzles (easy to break trust), use animals as livestock so you can boost your Capri's (the games pet) stats and make your Capri compete in competitions that'll definitely make you question why Matching Cards (actual tournament mode btw) started giving you migraines. Story: Only thing I can say is that there IS a story but there's still work to be done so I have to skip this part (there are GODS involved tho) Music: Music is okay, the lo-fi tracks are usually the best one's IMO Level Design: Level Design is basic since the main focus IS the Pet Simulator part of the game. There IS some jank level Design in the games "Action Stages" (Think Sonic Adventure 1 jank) Controls: You like jank controls? I know I do. I've been following this game for while now -- the amount of fun, robust, varied systems here is STAGGERING, expanding on what I think a Chao Garden-focused game should've been by now. the lil guys can go on scavenger hunts, race, play a memory game, and much more -- there's are even some high octane, hazardous dash levels. I really love the Chao Garden from the Sonic Adventure series, a fresh take like this has been needed for awhile. I will say this game is a labor of love and is still early, but there is a [i]very[/i] strong foundation here I believe in. Really, not much more beyond a UI art pass, some extra sound FX, and some animation/shader work could absolutely send it. <3
