An era of exciting adventures:
A sudden plane crash interrupts the uneventful journey of a little boy. Now stranded in the heart of the Amazonian jungle, he embarks on an eventful journey along the trails of a long-forgotten civilization, searching for the legendary city of El Dorado.
His companion and helper is Sammy the Rainbow Worm, never shy of a snarky comment. But as a worm, Sammy draws the attention of the Amazonian fishes, too - something that he really doesn't like at all.
Catch'em is a hilarious fishing game that focuses on skill, timing and a bit of luck. In each level, players have to catch five fishes out of over 24 different species to advance to the next level - while the clock is ticking. Players have to overcome numerous obstacles, but their persistence will be rewarded with valuable bonus points.
In addition to the exciting game itself, fun 3D animations and Sammy's voiceover will entertain players for many hours.

Lucky me gets to write the first review of Catch'em, which is a 2D retro pixel fishing simulator/clicker game. Gameplay consists of clicking on the screen a lot to make it seem like you're fishing, so basically what you would expect from a crapware mobile screen tapper game, but for some reason, inflicted on PC gamers instead, via the wonderful DailyIndieGame shovelware bundles. I don't know if this is an asset flip or a template flip, I never saw this one before, but it's garbage anyway. 2D retro pixel "art" used instead of proper graphics, locked resolution, low resolution (jaggies everywhere), terrible attempt at "gameplay". If you really want to play a fishing game, try Fishing Planet or something. This is pure garbage.10 found this helpful
I bought this old game (I do believe it's from 2008) for one reason: it had no reviews! Since it was on deep discount I didn't mind just so I could give it a try. At any rate, what is visible in the images is exactly what you get. Shortly after the game starts you land in a screen sitting on a ledge fishing rod in hand. That long tube-thing on the right is a timer and you're scored per fish caught and progression will be based on score. The fishing is fairly intuitive: cast out, use the mouse to wiggle the bait around and try to attract a fish, once caught use the mouse to "reel" it in. Seeing as I am the type of person who never excels at this kind of game I can't see myself making it to the end but I will play it when the mood strikes because it's a fun experience in pretty scenery. Oh, and it does not require the Steam client to be launched to run either.5 found this helpful
Incredible. Hours of content, an interesting story, top-tier balls-to-the-wall gameplay, excellent soundtrack. Every modern game developer should be ashamed of themselves for not coming close to this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ masterpiece of an experience.
