I'm sorry but what's with the fetus on the top left corner?

I have no idea what people thought of this game at the time when it came out, but it is honestly just too old now to get a good experience. For $6.99, there are better games that can take priority over this one.

Perhaps a lifetime ago it was decent for what it was because of lack of better options, but I wouldn't say it's worth checking out nowadays (as a newcomer that is). Maybe if you're a fan of old-style Point & Click games it might be up your alley, but I'm not and I wouldn't recommend it to people like me.

By far one of the weirdest games I have ever played.

Yeah, It's definitely an 'acquired taste', as it always was, but it does have a cool story (which was apparently lost in translation) and some humourous moments (acquired in translation), which can be explored with your favourite Hitachi-Gauss Fetus and/or favourtie A.I. The gameplay is very close to the Amiga, but at the time of release, the Amiga actually 'had' a soundboard, but it wasn't too long after this game came out, that the PC would dominate. The Master of Ordeals will give you a random gift, and a hint at which 'Ordeal' it would be useful for, at the start of each 'try'. This was actually a cool game mechanic, which I don't think I've seen in too many games, because it kind of slowly lured you in to playing an ordeal at a time, and also seemed fresh for each game... and when you mastered 'all' the …

Old-school point-and-click puzzler where the plot makes about as much sense as it sounds, and that's the appeal. You're a psionic mutant trying to rescue your girlfriend from a temple full of Protozorqs, working through five turn-limited ordeals using powers that range from "light up the room" to straight up "kill this guy telepathically." The icon interface is clunky by modern standards but grows on you once it clicks. Weird French sci-fi atmosphere throughout, equal parts funny and unsettling. Some puzzles lean on trial and error more than logic, but the sheer originality carries it. Not for everyone, but if you like your adventure games strange, this delivers.
