About [Chilla's Art] Aka Manto | 赤マント
Aka Manto (赤マント Red Cloak), aka Red Cape or Red Mantle, is a Japanese urban legend about a masked spirit who wears a red cloak, and who appears to people using toilets in public or school bathrooms, specifically targeting young women. Accounts of the legend vary, but one consistent element of the story is that the spirit will ask the individual using a toilet a question. He will ask them if they want a red paper or a blue paper. If they choose the red, they will be lacerated in such a manner that their dead body will be drenched in their own blood. If the individual chooses blue, the person will be strangled to all of the person's blood being drained from their body.

really fun, really scary and its just 5 dollars. it do be hard af tho1 found this helpful
I don’t think Aka Manto is necessarily a bad game, but it’s probably just not my type of horror. I found it confusing and more frustrating than scary, and I never really felt motivated to learn the map or keep trying after dying. It seems like the kind of game that rewards patience and multiple attempts, but with so many other games waiting to be played, I simply didn’t feel like putting that much time into it. Some people will probably enjoy the challenge and being constantly chased, but it wasn’t for me.1 found this helpful
this was a step down from the other games for me in terms of how much i enjoyed it. you can notice how much more work went into it compared to the earlier walking sim games since there's more content, more mechanics and more stuff going on. but more doesn't always mean more fun. aka manto is kind of like granny and other similar escape-type games where you're running around a map collecting items, backtracking across the whole place to solve something, then doing it again, and again, and again. on paper that does sound more engaging than a straight walking sim but it actually turned out to be tedious and boring. i quit after 25 minutes and i didn't finish it. i don't know how the story ends and honestly i didn't even understand what was going on while i was playing either. the jumpscares weren't bad but they get repetitive fast. continuing through chilla's collection in order of release and this one is easily the weakest one so far.
a scary game by chillas art that many like myself are scared to play.
