Choppa: Rescue Rivals

Rather nice game. Got the first boss nice and easy, so hopefully not too put off by the one negative review.

Man this game is soo good, the gameplay, art-style and music, everything is just so perfect! love picking objects and people with ma helikopter :D

OK been playing this for a bit, and I must say this game is LEGIT! The flying feels fun, very arcade like, the characters you meet through out the journey are full of life and charisma. The humor hits, this game has a lot of Character. The helicopter abilities are fun to use to solve puzzles and the boss battles are fun and exciting. Who is this game for.... I would say anyone who appreciates entertaining antics and dont take things too seriously. The game lives up to the awesome trailer that is for sure. A consider this a must buy!

There are some parts of the game that can be really enjoyable, but to have, on multiple occurances, challenges fail out on you as a result of flawed design choices makes the experience infuriating. The biggest flaw is the hit-box and how that is impacted upon when making actions in the game - during the last boss fight, on multiple occasions, there were two falling items (among the five or six that were falling on the screen) that would not and should not have hit me based on their spacing and my positioning. Only when I attempt to use the catching mechanic, the game can't tell which of the items is 'caught', damages me, and fails me out on the challenge. And this happened multiple times in my attempt at the fight. There are only so many ways and so many times that those kinds of design elements hinder any positives or fun that can be found in the game before the player 'nope's out, uninstalls the game, and move on to something better.

The combination of low poly 3D and pixel art is an obvious highlight, but it's the mechanics and level design that keep the game from being just a looker. For the former, tailswiping with the Choppa is both a funny visual and an important gameplay tool. The second story chapter added a plunger mechanic which has its own uses and I assume later stages will have their own unique twists. Stages can be suprisingly difficult if you're trying to complete all of the challenges and collect every pilot wing, but those are (so far in my playthrough) optional

O jogo é divertido e tá rodando perfeitamente no Steam Deck. Porém, os diálogos dele são desprezíveis de ruins e definitivamente quem fez o roteiro desse jogo é retardado mental. Mas, pulando eles, o jogo é bem divertido e dinâmico. Acho meio estúpido colocar tantos diálogos, sendo que os níveis têm menos de 2 minutos de duração. O jogo é quase uma visual novel com minigames se você não pular eles
