Vlad awakens after years of sleep to find his possessions have been stolen... And now he wants them back!
The object of the game is to solve puzzles in order to retrieve Vlads stolen possessions and bring them back to the castle, and also by avoiding enemies such as Police men, rats and drips of toxic goo.
At certain points during the night you may run into some people. These people can be eaten to increase health (and may also drop an item!).
People will run at the very sight of you, and the police will quickly run and try to beat you to death. Pressing the Transform key will change you to Human form and will stop you from being detected!
Dead of Night also uses a day/night cycle (of sorts!). As Vlad is a vampire, he can only stay out at night, and as such must either retreat to his castle or find some other way to evade the sun.

40 minutes in and I have tos ay the worst part of the game is the title screen. The rest of it is pretty excelent and looks visually interesting. The thumbnail does not do it justice. This game definitly deserves more attetion than it's currently receiving.4 found this helpful
I wish there was the option for a neutral review. But this game has the potential to be better if it didn't leave the player in such confusion on where to go. Everything you see is such a vague clue and you don't even know where to begin. The police are the biggest annoyance because they bludgeon you to death very quickly and there's very little you can do about it, once they hit you, you're pretty much trapped in an endless smack down before being sent all the way back to the castle.4 found this helpful
Absolutely adorable little game. Reminiscent to how games were in 80s and early 90s where you could lose yourself in a cute pixel world and didn't need endless tutorials or a manual the size of encyclopedia or a dedication to invest 40 hours. You discover mechanics as you play and it is actually fun and not a chore. You will die a bunch but it's ok, because next time you will make it further. From more recent titles I would compare it to The Count Lucanor, Minit or The Last Door.2 found this helpful
