About Dead by Death
Dead by Death is a retro style platformer. The hero will explore dungeons where are full of traps and find out hidden secrets. To defeat monsters till you die or live for glory.

Tips:
- Player need to explore every corner of the dungeon to find treasures or keys.
- The pistol plugin and the grenade plugin are very effective against enemies not at the same height. The scattergun can help you effectively attack enemies in all directions.
- Character with proper resistance and inertia is a consistent feature of this kind of game, which has a certain test of the player's ability to control, if you can adapt to certain game series, such as Mario, Shovel Knight, Momodora or Castlevania, I think the feel of this game is hard to beat you.
- Find out the rules of the enemy, don’t be hard.
- Not only to improve the crit rate and attack power, but also to be careful of various traps.
- Increase maximum health at the right time may be suitable for most players.

I'd support this dev if the game were offered for free, but trying to sell this game based on the false premise of having "well-designed dungeons", "many kinds of interesting [...] weapons", and "various enemies and traps" is deceptive. The game doesn't really have much variety, and the level design is pretty rough.16 found this helpful

If you want a "retro style" platformer, go buy some of the old Apogee titles like Crystal Caves, Monster Bash or Secret Agent and leave this one alone.4 found this helpful
I love this game ! What is going on here? To each his own tastes, and I positively enjoy this. True, being age slowed, 68 y.o., I use cheat engine and that may change my appreciation (health: Float, everything else: 4 Bytes) But, the art is excellent, great variety in foes and surprises. 4 stages x 9 levels each, selectable at any time once beaten. The upgrades and crafting of them is pleasing (again, used c.e. to max every plugin, and beyond). Well, back to playing.3 found this helpful

I think this game is misunderstood. I don't really get why anybody bought this expecting to play something well made in return; I mean look at the screenshots and trailers and you should know what you're in for guys. That being said, just saying "don't get your hopes up!" is a terrible defense for a game, But I think if you've played a fair share of Megaman, Castlevainia, or really just any older platformer, you'll probably enjoy this even though it's kinda ass. A definite "so bad it's good" game, 6/10.
