First lets start with the pros. The game looks the part, the title screen feels like a goosebumps book, and the voice acting is pretty spot on. But that's the only pros. Cons: the enemies can be easilly cheesed, theres go grapghical/ keyboard settings, after the first stage being in the house the rest of the game falls flat. The second part had interesting idea but never feels like it was fully fleshed out. During the laser puzzles the game felt padded , the gun you unlock is very much poorly implimented. When you get it the cool down takes to long the gumi bears take to long to blast through, and the end fight. The end fight was such a let down. You walk away from 1 enemy at a time being the girl goal, the clown, and the werewolf. Mind you you can take you time. Blast the witches , than the magic orb. You dont even need to run just take your time. The enemy ai had to be dumbed down so much that the end battle was a snore feast. The climb up the the boss rush for babies has you half running half walking because the main character has such low stamina I swear a older diabetic lady who can run two seconds is more in shape the the player character. The main character is such a wi…
Goosebumps Dead of Night is an attempt to translate the playful horror of R.L. Stine’s long-running series into an interactive survival experience, and while the concept is immediately appealing, the execution lands somewhere between nostalgic curiosity and uneven game design. Developed and published by Cosmic Forces, the game leans heavily into a first-person perspective, placing players directly into a world where familiar Goosebumps creatures roam freely. Instead of aiming for outright terror, it tries to capture that signature “kid-friendly spooky” tone, where tension exists but is softened by a sense of adventure and familiarity. This tonal balance is one of the game’s more distinctive qualities, even if the rest of the experience struggles to consistently support it. The structure is divided into multiple chapters, each introducing a slightly different gameplay focus. Early sections emphasize stealth and exploration, asking players to navigate enclosed environments while avoiding patrolling enemies and searching for key items. These sequences are clearly meant to evoke tension, but they often feel more methodical than suspenseful. Enemy patterns can become predictable, and t…
