DisplaceMen

DisplaceMen is a magic realist ADV that depicts a seven-day mystery story with multiple scenarios and endings. In the coastal town of Huanmen, everyone knows how to 'displace'—to turn any item or even living being they own into another, as long as the two have equivalent psychological value. Displaced things will vanish and be forgotten. You are a broke painter who wanders around the town, collecting the strangest things to make art. While chatting with your commissioners, with a painter’s eye to observe and imagine, you will unveil the true faces of these people - the motivational speaker, the trace scholar with a day job as a tattoo artist, the hardcore cosplayer teenager, the wanted pseudoscientist, etc. Working to redeem the vanished “mermaid,” you will accumulate properties until you realize you can displace people. Deciding what to let go of is a painter’s practice. Stay sensitive. Stay gold.

*Love is an investment. This is a story for those who have the deepest love for things that are not present. We miss the things that are not here, and this drives us insane. We have different mechanisms to process this, and this game proposes two of them: 1, Keep talking to people, and 2, Keep making paintings.

*By the way, the game can make you laugh a lot, especially at inappropriate moments.
