Monitor Splitting (works with Surround and Eyefinity!)
Split your monitors into multiple virtual monitors so that you can have separate Taskbars, Wallpapers, Trigger rules, Functions, and Screen Savers for each split. Non-full screen applications will maximize to the size of each split, and Functions like "Move to Next Monitor" will treat each split as a separate monitor. Compensate for ATI and nVidia Bezel Compensation in DisplayFusion to prevent your windows from disappearing behind your bezels.
Monitor Configuration and Profiles
Use DisplayFusion to set your Monitor Configuration. Configure the resolution, colour depth, refresh rate and orientation. You can even save your configurations as Monitor Profiles that you can load later using a key combination or TitleBar Button. For me, this program has been a godsend. I was skeptical with the price, but appreciate the lack of a subscription. It takes some tinkering since there's a lot of things you can change, but once it is set up how you want, it's amazing. I have my PC connected to 5 different screens between my desk, sim rig, and living room tv and this program has allowed me to setup custom profiles for each use case, so with the press of a button the correct monitors turn on or off, the sound output is changed, relevant programs are auto launched and it's ready to go. If you have a complex monitor setup and are constantly frustrated by windows' monitor handling, this program is for you6 found this helpful
Display Fusion is useful for more things than just multi-monitor support. I am currently using it on several devices with a single monitor:[list] [*] Fetch a rotation of wallpapers and lock screen images from the internet based on a search from over 20 different local and web sources. [*] "Prevent Window Deactivation", prevents games like Forza Horizon 6 from pausing when you alt-tab. [*] Use the classic Explorer context menu, so you never have to click "Show more options" again. [*] Add additional titlebar buttons with a variety of functions. [*] Manager for Screen Savers, with some new Display Fusion screensavers included. Remember those? [*] Extensive trigger system to automate your workflows, i.e. When this program starts, maximize it. [*] And way more... [/list] Since this program is designed to run in the background all the time, you may consider how much system resources it allocates. For me, the RAM usage is approximately 300MB, and CPU usage shows 0%. I originally got this software for a single feature, but ended up really enjoying all the functionality it provides. This is the very first application that gets installed any time I get a new PC, and it is absolutely essential for anyone with multi-monitor setups. Explaining how I utilize the app will probably be the best way to review this: The first thing I started using DisplayFusion for was the ability to set separate wallpapers on each monitor, or even cycle through wallpapers. Then, I discovered "triggers," which allows you to keep applications/windows positioned in the same place every time. Anyone with multi-monitor setups understands how frustrating it is for Windows OS to not remember application positions, and DisplayFusion absolutely crushes this problem. I use triggers on my work laptop, too, and the increase in workflow due to predictable positioning is an absolute gamechanger; I've been using DisplayFusion for this very reason for sooo long, I seriously struggle HARD when it's not installed and managing things for me. Only within the last year did I discover monitor profiles, which has been just as much of a gamechanger for me. Doesn’t keep profile settings. When changing between my desk profile and sim profile it doesn’t change to the set setting and flickers and resets the profile over and over, or it will just randomly pick a monitors (I have 1 at the desk and 3 on my sim). Changes wallpaper settings just whenever it wants to. Or just resets back to black screens. Save your money and just use display magican.1 found this helpful
