About Don't get lost
Don't get lost is a procedurally-generated, open-world, open-source, first-person colony sim. Play your own game, or join your friends as you build colonies to harvest natural resources from the infinite world.
Craft building materials, or let your townsfolk do it for you, and use an intuitive gridless building system to expand in 3D. Design a logistics system to distribute goods across town, or build a new town where the resources are. Add catapults and guards to defend your colonies as they come under increasingly-difficult tower-defence-style attacks. Manage the needs of your townsfolk, making sure they have enough to eat and don't become unhappy with their lot in life. Level up their skills so that they work faster, and manage their assigned jobs accordingly. Use the materials they make to research new technologies to make your settlements swankier and more efficient. Explore the infinite multi-biome world and interact with it's natural inhabitants (both the hostile and friendly kinds). Go fishing, build a house in the tree tops, farm goats in the mountains, ride on a railway of your own design all whilst playing with, or against, your friends and their townsfolk.
But,
Most importantly,
Don't get lost.

✦ AI summary
Players appreciate the game's quirky aesthetic and appreciate that the tutorial demonstrates mechanics in action, but the core pathfinding system is widely criticized as unintuitive, tedious, and frustrating to use. The game shows promise in its premise and building mechanics, yet many feel it needs significant work on its tools and systems, with some noting that development appears to have stalled.

The game has a nice quirky look about it and looks calm and chill. That's about all of the good stuff i can say. It requires you to do pathing for your colonists. From their bed to any place in the town you're building, workspaces etc. The tools provided for that pathing are abysmal. Counter-intuitive, painstakingly fidgety, insanely timeconsuming and infuriatingly prone to not get right or break. They are also incredibly bad for wanting to build in a natural, pretty way and ask you to commit building placement atrocities from the start; if you can spare the nerves and time to get them right. The game needs serious work.2 found this helpful
Fantastic little indy game with a lot of heart. It has good progression and execution and so far I haven't run into any game breaking bugs or serious jank. Very chill game, absolutely worth a try
Don't get lost? Well, it would be hard to provided the map feature and the small playable area. Granted, the whole land is apparently free to build on, which makes it feel bigger than it is. Starting area and Tutorial is genuinely appreciated! It's so cool to see all the mechanics in action before you build them yourself! But the tutorial is very long and just tells you to make a thing without explaining how it will help you. Maybe this is to prevent overwhelm but I was a little confused. The placing mechanics aren't locked to a grid and allow for precision which is cool. Jungle is impossible to navigate and I couldn't destroy trees and rocks; I just got infinite resources. Correct me if I wasn't sitting there whacking it long enough. I got bored before the colony part. Maybe I need to play longer or try it with friends. It's free and it runs... fine. 5/10 game feels lonely and progress looks abandoned. Makes me sad.
This game would have high potential but development seems to have stopped.
got lost, prolly my bad
