Dorky Fork

"You don't know real fear until you're crossing a bridge while pushing an unstable block for the 100th time." - Sabadass, 2020 Dorky Fork is a delightful game that appears relaxing on the facade but provides quite a good challenge. The tank-like controls take a bit of getting used to. Once you understand how to move and manipulate the blocks, the real challenge becomes navigating the levels. It took approximately 4 hours to complete the game on my first playthrough. There is also a level editor, but I did not spend any time in it.

This is a horror game.

The game is challenging. For all the wrong reasons. There is a foundation for something good. But it is very incomplete. The base movement is slow and should be faster. And what is the base movement now should be something you can use with a button press. For finer movements. And like a lot of small games they don't comprehend gradual difficulty increase. And the base concept isn't well thought out or refined in any way. If they don't do it someone else will do this puzzle game concept right. As in. Multiple different tools on stages. Magnets & metal/magnet blocks, grabbers, different push bars. Co-op, versus. Stages that don't have death drops and blocks falling off on the first stage. And a proper movement system. As is I can't really recommend. Unless you really love the concept. Or just want to support the Dev. If you want to try it buy it on sale. It's not worth more than a couple bucks. In my opinion.

Ожидай, что твои кулинарные шедевры будут выглядеть так, будто их создавала группа очень пьяных енотов. Но именно в этой абсурдности и кроется вся прелесть "Dorky Fork". Это не просто игра, это целый экзистенциальный опыт, заставляющий задуматься о смысле жизни, когда ты пытаешься наколоть на вилку помидор, который упорно стремится сбежать. Если ты любишь необычные, юмористические и полные сюрпризов игры, то "Dorky Fork" — это твой билет в мир абсурдной кулинарии.
