What Makes It Unique
Classic Sokoban uses just one block type. In Puzzledorf, there are different coloured blocks that must reach matching coloured targets, and movable boulders that block your path. Moving them around tight spaces creates a unique challenge that sets Puzzledorf apart.In one puzzle, the blue and green blocks start on opposite sides of a narrow corridor. The solution? This is a really good little block-pushing puzzler. Most games in this genre, in my opinion, try to introduce twists and gimmicks to constantly challenge you, whereas Puzzledorf sticks to the classic sokoban formula of simply moving blocks around. It's a wonderful puzzle game. Controls are good, gameplay is top notch, puzzles go anywhere from easy to "how the hell do I solve this?". I love sokoban games and this is a solid buy for this genre.1 found this helpful
I'm delighted with Puzzledorf. Its mischievous challenges test and pleasingly tease but I find that any frustrations are soothed by the strong yet gentle music track which is also conducive to concentration. And the bright, colourful graphics have a nice warmth to them. I certainly recommend it as an excellent package with which to relax while boosting cognitive skills.1 found this helpful
the art style is cute and retro. The music in fun and funky. The game mechanics work very well. Some levels are a lot easier than others, but there are plenty of levels that will give you some trouble and keep you on your toes. The core game mechanic is simple and straightforward, while being quite clever! Then the game introduces lots of extra new mechanics that make every world feel unique and challenging. This game easily lived up to my expectations about it, and left me satisfied yet hungry for more. If this game will have a sequel or a DLC with more mechanics - that would be an instabuy for me. the idea to have "undo" button undo a level reset is AMAZING, I hope every puzzle developer steals this feature Really clever puzzle game with some really unique mechanics. Has a solid amount of puzzles and keeps introducing new mechanics the whole way through so nothing becomes stale. Highly recommended!1 found this helpful
Nice game but I was somewhat disappointed that for the puzzle it is quite easy. I would NOT recommend to people who want a challenge in the puzzles. If you on the other end want easier puzzles the go for it. (my playtime is 100% the game bare duplicate "mirror" puzzles).
