What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the tight combat mechanics, appealing art style, smooth controls, and replayability through varied weapon and upgrade unlocks that change playstyles significantly. However, many criticize the game for being too short with only a few levels, lack of clear tutorials or explanations for mechanics, and some report bugs with controls and interaction systems that hinder the experience. Most agree the game has strong potential but feels rushed in its current early access state and needs more content and polish before it's ready.
The combat looks and feels great. The enemies clearly telegraph their intents and the upgrades make a big difference in how the combat flows. It’s easy to pick up and play without it being a huge commitment. Good content and quality for the price!1 found this helpful
Good art and music. Tight gameplay loop, and well done for EA/Demo. Can't wait to see what else they add. Good fun 8/10 with a solid potential for higher with more content.
The game is really cool. Art is eye catching, the heroes, the enemies. Although it is too short. like 4 levels and all? Maybe I am missing something but after I unlock the third weapon, there is no way game can give more. I would love to see more levels with variety of puzzles and enemies. Also I didn't get the point of feeding the salesman in the camp. If there will be more levels, I would play with pleasure.
Pretty cool, & engaging game. Hoping for more content along the way!
Simple, cool and enjoyable game. Every decision you make changes the way you play. Every run feels different. I play with WASD and mouse and it feels super smooth. You can unlock different weapons and buffs which completly changes the playstyle. The game has enough content for many quick runs and great potential for more.
I will keep up and correct my review if the bugs are fixed but this was released WAY too soon. 1. The controls are clunky and move without moving the stick. (Yes I am sure it's not my controller it's only in this game). 2. Every run I could not interact with anything. I had plenty of gold, keys etc. and nothing. 3. There is NO direction on what you are meant to do. No tutorial on how things work or explanation on what means what. I wanted to like this game because I loved the Torebia playtest, but I cannot get behind this game as it stands. It has potential but needs a LOT of fixes.
