About Elemental Engagements

Wield god powers and command legions of elemental thralls against your friends! Elemental Engagements is a split screen, versus, real-time-strategy game. Gain favor with the elemental gods to use their 16 powers, battle on 3 maps, and play with either Keyboard or Controller!

Elemental God Powers

As a major wind god, you'll wield wind powers. However, winning the favor of the other gods will grant you fire, water, and earth god powers.
Use wind to control the battlefield! Use fire to damage your opponent! Use water to support your units! Use earth to deny enemy movement!

Sacrifice and Gain Favor

As a match progresses, you can choose which elements you will sacrifice your thralls to. The more territory you capture, the more favor and god powers you will gain for the associated elements, but you can only have a limited amount! This means that no game will play the same and each player must choose their sacrifices wisely.

Pick Up & Play

Elemental Engagements is a progressively-faster paced game on match by match basis. This means that most matches will last 5-20 minutes. The controls are designed specifically for the gamepad and split-screen gameplay, so RTS veterans and casual players alike will find tons of fun and room to strategize!

Bear's Take: Elemental Engagements - where multiplayer mayhem reigns supreme, but solo wizards need not apply. Sip 'n' Savor: Sadly, I couldn't sink my claws into Elemental Engagements as it's strictly a splitscreen affair. As a solitary bear, that left me feeling more abandoned than a cub in a snowstorm. Milk Mustache Moment: The music's like a tune you'd hum while foraging for berries - nothing memorable, but it gets the job done. As for the graphics, they're as average as a squirrel's stash of acorns. Roar Factor: Didn't get a chance to dive into the gameplay, but just looking at the screenshots had me scratching my head like a bear with an itch. Confusion level: grizzly. Bear's Bonus Honeycomb: There's not much sweetness to unearth here, but the soundtrack might just keep you from hibernating. Final Paw-sition: Elemental Engagements left this bear feeling more lost than a cub in a blizzard. If you're flying solo like me, you might want to find another enchanted forest to explore. Rating: 🐻 (1 out of 5)

An incredibly fun, fast-paced, and wonderfully chaotic RTS that breathes new life into classic couch-multiplayer sessions! Commanding legions of elemental thralls and clashing with your friends in intense, split-screen tactical duels is every bit as exhilarating as it sounds. The stylized 2.5D visual design and the cartoonish arena layouts capture that magical, high-energy arcade strategy energy flawlessly. Balancing real-time army movements across changing maps, sacrificing your own minions to dynamic altars, and mixing 16 distinct god powers like devastating fireballs or protective water shields creates a highly rewarding and frantic gameplay loop.It is the absolute perfect, light-hearted indie strategy game for settling scores during a fun game night, testing your multitasking reflexes against a rival, and enjoying snappy 15-minute matches—all for the grand price of absolutely free. A brilliant, tightly focused split-screen gem that is a must-play for anyone missing the golden era of local PvP. Definitely recommended!
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This is a laughably bad 2.5D RTS game where players (if there were any) would send waves of troops at each other... you know the deal. But nobody got into this because apparently there's no market for games that use billboarded sprites in 2024... yeah, Wolfenstein was cool in 1990, but the industry moved along from that. I don't understand why developers don't even take 5 minutes to look at other games that already exist before incinerating $100 on Steam Direct. Almost every other RTS game that was ever made is better than this. "Elemental Engagements" is a failed PvP game. Why is it dead? It's time for a video game autopsy! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Developers often assume just because they published their game, it's going to "go viral". I'm guessing this is a case of the developers making this game in complete isolation without even bothering to look at what other PvP games on Steam already offer. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extre…

Well thought out split screen. God powers are fun. Couple bugs here and there but very replayable.
