About Eyes of War

Eyes of War blends RTS and Action RPG elements, creating a medieval warfare game where you can switch between the two gameplay approaches. In strategy mode, you build and develop your castle and make your army. In character mode, you control each unit from a third-person perspective, smoothly transitioning between soldiers to feel the battle up close and maintain your troops.
Compete with friends or AI in supported maps with up to 4 players, striving to become the ruler of the map. Continue your battles with the Strategy Game Mode and different game modes like the Arena Game Mode. Build your castle, develop your city, create your army, and defeat your rivals!

Be Part of the Army!

In Strategy Mode, wage war with other players by developing your castle and army. Take control of any unit at any moment in the game. Manage and experience the war atmosphere in character mode. Be a leader and a hero by living the battle firsthand!

Feel Your City and Environment Up Close!

See the details of every corner of the maps up close in Character Mode. Roam within the city you built with great dedication and become one of the heroes defending your city against rivals!

Fight Against Real Players With Your Strategies

Join online battles with up to four players. Fight against opponents for resources and the control of the kingdom. Use your strategies against real players, but watch out! The opponents won’t stand there watching your plans unfold…

Prove Yourself Across Different Modes!

In Battle Mode, build your army and take command of large scale battles with smart tactical decisions. In Arena Mode, enter one on one duels and fight your way to the top. For an even greater challenge, step into Survival Arena Mode where you choose a unique character and fight to survive as the pressure intensifies with each wave.

Build one of the Four Nations!

Engage in the struggle among four nations, each with its own unique culture, weakness, and strengths. Diversify your strategy by using units with different advantages from each nation and dominate your enemies!

I really wanted to like this game but sadly it failed so soon. I attempted to do the tutorial soon to be softlocked. After relaunching the game the tutorial wasn't an option anymore. Alas I believe to have understood enough to try a few games out. Starting a game never happened. It was loading endlessly, after 15 minutes I restarted the game and attempted to start another time. Once again dissapointed by the game crashing. Seeing the game hasn't gotten updates in a long time and their seems to be no progress on one for the time being I leave this negative review in hopes to see the game fixed and improved.

I really wanted to like Eyes of War. I was so excited for it that I even bought a copy for my friend so we could play together. The lack of a campaign isn't an issue by itself—not every RTS needs one. The problem is that, once you look at everything the game has to offer, it feels extremely bare-bones. The concept is fantastic. The ideas are there, the gameplay foundation is there, and the third-person perspective is genuinely interesting. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the game in its current state, especially since a developer has confirmed that there are no more content updates planned beyond bug fixes. One of the first issues we ran into was multiplayer. When I clicked "Multiplayer," there was no obvious option to host a game. I ended up joining the official Discord just to find out that pressing "New Game" is actually how you host a multiplayer lobby. That's a confusing design choice that should really be improved, and I'm sure I'm not the only player who's been caught out by it. The multiplayer content also feels very limited. There are only four maps, and the maximum team size is 2v2. That's disappointing, especially when RTS games like Halo Wars and Red Alert supporte…

Eyes of War is an ambitious medieval warfare title that attempts to merge two traditionally separate experiences into a single, flexible framework: large-scale real-time strategy and direct, hands-on action combat. Developed and published by Good Mood Games, it positions the player not only as an omniscient commander issuing orders from above, but also as a physical participant on the battlefield who can fight, defend, and die alongside their troops. This dual-identity design is the defining feature of the game and shapes nearly every aspect of how it plays, succeeds, and occasionally struggles. At the strategic level, the game follows familiar RTS conventions. Players establish a foothold by gathering resources such as wood, stone, and gold, constructing buildings to support economic growth and military production. Barracks, resource structures, and defensive fortifications gradually form the backbone of a growing medieval stronghold. Unit recruitment and army composition require planning, as different troop types fulfill different battlefield roles, from frontline infantry to ranged support. While the strategic layer is approachable and readable, it intentionally avoids excessiv…
