Fleeting Summer's End is a small indie yuri game. Its extremely cute, while touching a lot of very important themes. The ideas and themes game introduces are not that bold and for western audience may sound a bit outdated , but in certain parts of the world being gay still may be considered wrong and it may be rough for people who are living is small religious communities like this game shows us. 1. technical side. from that perspective this game looks like it was developed in 2010s , there is not so many options and they are a bit crude. at least everything works good and dont crash.6/10 2.Art . Art follows "Old school" style , mixing pixel art with some Cgs and character art , emotions are drawn very good. and this game combine all that very well. It really gives atmosphere of rural village and late summer vibe.10/10 3.Sound. Music here is good , sounds are also there and they are adding a lot to the overall atmosphere. there is no voice acting tho but ts not a problem i think.9/10 4. story. I really liked the story here , its short sweet and cute , but meanwhile it still show us a lot of problems LGBTQ+ people face in their lives , starting from accepting themselves as they are …

Super sweet, if also a little bitter. And silly at times, as teenagers are ones to do. No, as humans are ones to do.

A short, sweet yuri tale that feels very grounded in its location and characters.

A cute, sweet, wholesome, cavity inducing, teeth showing, cheeks hurting, any other word synonymous to those you name it, is what I went through in this short story. My feelings aside, the game is decently crafted, the pixel art is well translated in its real-world counterpart(I think that's a cool upside for the experience) and the story is easy to follow. The characters are lovely, their personalities kind of click with each others insecurities. They touched on topics that may hinder their journey of being together but your good old friend called "confidence" would instill belief that such hinderance is unavoidable but still encourages them to move forward despite it. One more thing, I like how Kangsui explains her life living where she is now is like a lake with no ripple until Ainyang came to her life like a rock that was tossed in said lake causing ripples, beforehand, when the 'yuri' moment happened, Ainyang explained that during that time, the lake was calm, there were no ripples. This might not be intentional nor does it mean anything, the lake might be a river if recall. But to me, basically Kangsui's life has been calm and predictable until Ainyang came and made it alive …
