About Forest of Tails: Arena

Forest of Tails: Arena puts you in the role of a mouse fighting in the Fieval arena for eternal mouse glory. Use stick, axe, and acorn to defeat wave after wave of angry enemies.

Forest of Tails: Arena is a real-time action arena game that pits you against bugs, animals, and even other mice. Fight your way through waves, gain new skills, and loot powerful equipment to fight your way through progressively more difficult levels. Death doesn't mean the end for you; pick yourself back up and continue from your last checkpoint with all your skills and equipped gear in tact.

Play Your Way

After creating and customizing your mouse, you'll be thrust into the pits. Do you want to bludgeon ants using a rock warhammer? Maybe you'd rather poison lizards using your bow fashioned from plant roots. You'll be given lots of options on how to take down the unique enemies you'll find in the game.

Level up and Grow

Earn and select perks every time you level up. As you grow and improve your character, better and more unique randomized loot will drop for you. Combine weapon and character talents to create a force to be reckoned with.

Fight, Die and Fight Again

Death is only the beginning. Every time you die, you can take your equipped gear and stats back into the fight at your last checkpoint. Grind your way to the top and fight the biggest, baddest enemies that the arena can throw at you.

dodge to cancel an attack and walking while aiming a bow would be great cuz as soon as you attack every enemy just swarms you and 90% of hp is gone only viable play style is jump attacking

"Forest of Tails: Arena" is a shallow and somewhat pointless wave survival arena brawler that looks like it was rejected from consoles. All you do is control a mouse (actual mouse, not a computer peripheral) with your mouse (computer peripheral) to kill waves of insects using various melee weapons. Yawn. There's no motivation or progression worth noting, this feels like a pointless tech demo. This looks a lot like it was designed for consoles, but released on Steam instead by mistake. While this is on PC, it has all the hallmarks and deficiencies of a console game, from the clunkier than needed control scheme to the less than cutting edge graphics. There's 10's of thousands of PC games on Steam, and PC gamers deserve only the best. This might not appeal to many gamers due to the lack of PC-centric design. It's unclear why this never made it to the video game console appliances it seems to have been designed for. This feels more like a tech demo or a project smacked together hurriedly to try make a kind of minimum viable product just good enough to pass the developers unambitious idea and shove it into Steam Direct to see if you can actually pay $100 and publish junk throug…

This game is simple but addicting! -You are a rat gladiator fighting against waves of insects and other vermin. -You level up, earn weapons, armour and unlock perks. -There are three weapon classes to choose from, each with unique abilities (all random). They are: one-handed (swords/maces/axes + shields), two-handed (zweihanders, warhammers and battleaxes) and ranged (bows). -You get a checkpoint for five completed waves. I don't even know how many there are because, at the time of this review, I'm still at wave 60 or something. But I assume there are 100. -No story and no soundtrack but the gameplay is very fun and the graphics/artstyle ain't bad, either. Just play it.

This is dumb and I had a great time. I'd absolutely pay for a more smoothed out and polished version.
