About Fragmentary
Fragmentary is a knowledge-based puzzle game about a character which struggles in life with some problems and finds himself in the middle of a challenge to piece together his memories. Find the items to remind him his past again.
Core Gameplay Mechanics
Turn-Based Card Strategy & Combat- Cards are your basic tool for movement on and interaction with the game field. They are not only playable, you can also interact with them to change some variables related to cards.
- Engage in turn-based combat which requires not only strategy, but also knowledge, puzzle solving and trial-error.
- Cards are also your keys to the world, you'll use them to open pathways or solve puzzles. Maybe, the card itself could be a puzzle in some cases.
- Progress is gated by the knowledge, not keys. You must explore the environment to find clues and items.

[b]9/10[/b] A game that looks like a strategy card battler, but is actually an escape room full of secrets and cryptic puzzles. [b]What is it:[/b] While trying to make the perfect card game, you are trapped by the very game you were making. Surrounded by enemies, you can only move and attack by using the few game cards in your possession. But this is not a strategy or fighting game, most of the time it feels impossible to win, with literally invincible enemies in some of the levels. The focus is on figuring out which part of which level to tackle next, trying to collect one more card, which will then give you more power to approach the next part, and so on. Other than cards, there are also memories to find, like an old TV, a newspaper, a compass, or a music box. Each of these items comes with a short text, but more importantly, may hold a clue that will help you figure out a secret. I like puzzle games in general and this game is no exception. Once you understand the cards and the enemy patterns, you will start strategizing your way out. Also every collected item has a purpose behind it, can be useful to check them out. Bring pen and paper to map what each level has. Experiment and enjoy1 found this helpful
