謳歌的聖女 is a narrative-focused fantasy RPG that takes a familiar journey-to-another-world concept and uses it as the foundation for a much more personal mystery. The protagonist, Yi-Cha-Si, is a teenager who suddenly finds himself in an unfamiliar world and naturally begins searching for a way home. What complicates matters is the gradual realization that this place may not be entirely disconnected from him. Pieces of his past appear to have links to the world around him, transforming what could have been a straightforward escape story into an adventure about uncovering forgotten connections, relationships, and hidden truths. The storytelling is clearly the central attraction. Rather than rushing toward major revelations, the game gives its characters and mysteries room to develop over an extended adventure. Conversations, encounters, exploration, and discoveries gradually reveal more about Yi-Cha-Si and the people he meets. Romance and emotional drama are woven into the fantasy storyline as well, giving the supporting cast greater importance than simply being companions or quest providers. 謳歌的聖女 is a surprisingly ambitious free RPG, and I was impressed by how much it tries to pack into a traditional turn based adventure. I follow YI CHA SI, a teenager who is accidentally transported to another world and begins searching for a way home. I liked that the journey slowly becomes more personal as the story reveals that his connection to this world is much deeper than he first realizes. The turn based combat is familiar, but the character system gives it plenty of room for experimentation. Each character has their own talents, while different jobs let me change how the party functions. I enjoyed trying different combinations because the game gives me more freedom than I expected from an RPG with such a traditional structure. Choosing the right party can make a big difference when I get into tougher battles. Equipment customization is another strong point for me. The game has a fairly involved equipment synthesis system, so I am constantly thinking about how to improve my characters instead of simply replacing old gear with stronger equipment.
