About Geisterbahnhof
✦ AI summary
You're a trapped commuter in an abandoned subway station hunted by a relentless pursuer, forced to solve environmental puzzles and rely on memory to navigate procedurally generated tunnels and escape alive. Intense atmospheric dread and sudden jump scares combine with brain-teasing challenges and replayable maps to create a fresh nightmare every time you descend.
What is it that defines the dreams that truly terrify us and then haunt us long after waking up? Is it a situation we cannot escape? Perhaps it is being surrounded by a place that is isolated and alienating? Could it be the feeling of being exposed to something or someone that seeks inflict unimaginable torments on us?
One example that captures all of this is the place you will be taken to, should you choose to accept this challenge. As the player you will take on the role of an unsuspecting commuter taking the subway who gets side-tracked from their mundane activity and wanders into a part of the system that has been abandoned. However, this is no accident, this is a place to which you have been lured, the Geisterbahnhof, or ghost station.
Your task is to survive and escape, but in order to do so you will need to move carefully through the endless tunnels evading your pursuer and seeking out the items that you will depend upon for your escape. Even so, the items alone will not be enough, you will also need to employ your memory and all your concentration and of course you will need to keep your nerve.

Ich verstehe nicht, worum es in diesem Spiel geht. Wenn es nach mir ginge, hätte ich mich erst gar nicht verlaufen. Regeln gibt es aus einem Grund, halt dich daran.1 found this helpful

Yo, so I wanted to edit my review as not only was it out of frustration, but wasn't constructive do to it being during a 20 hr stream. So I wanna take a moment to list the pros and cons and what kept me from completing the game and having a great experience. Pros: - Atmosphere was good and the map was very eye catching. - Voice acting was fun and engaging. - Both game name and concept was both fun and charming. Cons: - Lack of scare factors and anti climatic jump scares. - There was WAY to much walking with really nothing to do. - Puzzles would either feel way to easy or down right impossible with nothing in between. - Last computer puzzle was so impossible that there is no walkthrough on YouTube and most creators gave up making impossible to complete. Because of the cons outweighing the pros I cant give the a positive review however if the game is reworked and polished I would definitely give it another shot in a video.1 found this helpful
Everything was great until I came across the puzzle where you have to move the files from the left column to the right and they can only stack a certain way. There is no skip option. I was unable to solve the puzzle, thus I was unable to finish the game. Unfortunately, this means an automatic thumbs down from me.
The last computer puzzle is downright annoying.
The RNG really killed this game for me. You wander around endless mazes until the game decides to randomly give you what you're looking for. The "chase" segment where you have to scrounge for change is the worst exmaple of this. you have to wander the map looking for vending machines and garbage bins to check, and i swear it is a less than 50% success rate. to make it worse, you have to succeed finding change 25 times. And I put chase in quotations because you are faster than the guy chasing you so there is no actual threat as long as you don't stop and stare at him.
