About Genius!

It's unfair to review this normally, since it's not in English, so I won't downvote it.
This is a party game in French
Each player is presented a question and you give some answers to it, funnier the better. Then the other players vote whether they are great, alright, or sucky. That's it. It feels really cheap and unpolished, though it could still be fun in the right crowd. Particularly given it's free. Up to 10 people can play together. However, I'd recommend Jackbox Party Pack games for English-speakers instead. Without understanding French, this one won't be fun.
Why I played this? For achievements!
You need 4 or maybe 5 people and some friendly cooperation hosting, joining, and voting the right way. This takes anywhere from 10 minutes to over half an hour, depending on technical trouble. Both hosting and joining is finicky, and you will do well to restart between games. "Genius!" is a failed French word game/quiz, with particularly poor presentation and quality. In fact, the whole thing could have been done in a web browser, which raises the question... Was Steam intended to be a competitor to Firefox and Chrome? What do you do in the game? Nothing, really. If you have French speaking friends, and you ask them to play garbage like this, you soon won't have any French speaking friends. Which leaves us with nothing to do, because this is a local multiplayer game. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal. The graphics aren't great. That's understandably be turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $2 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for fre…
