So, [b]Geolosys.[/b] It's another one of these "2048" games, which means if you've played one of them you've played all of them. That's not meant to be dismissive. The format works. It's popular for a reason. When it comes to this entry, I wouldn't say it revolutionizes the concept or anything, but it does deliver it in a pleasant enough format. The store description is really overselling the stone collection bit. It doesn't matter. There's no new mechanic here. It's just the same game with this gem themed packaging, and that's fine. There is no "added depth" or whatever else some of these very ChatGPT sounding reviews are on about. It's just a "2048" game and that's enough. That's all it needs to be. Ignore all the yapping how "revolutionary" or "captivating" the game is...btw, the store page uses the word "captivating" five times--twice in the same sentence even! Really padding out the description of what is ultimately a very simple game there... To that point, I would say this fairly simple game is excellent value when it is on sale, and something I would skip at full price. It's a great puzzle game, a genre I enjoy, with stunning graphics that captivate the eye with their vibrant colors and dynamic gameplay. The controls are also impressive, and I appreciate the effort put into this game.16 found this helpful
Geolosys is a "template" flip/kitbash, and not a properly developed game. The "developer" filled out a basic "2048" game template in the craptastic GameMaker Studio (a blight on gaming), changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and put it on Steam as if it was their own game. SUJIKO Media Group (aka Kovalevviktor, watch him use fake Steam accounts to hide his identity) have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Got this and played it for a bit a while ago from a "5 steam keys diamond edition" card from a sketchy website. Out of all the 5 I got, this is the only one I can actually leave a positive review on. Gameplay is great
If you're tired of simple block-chopping and crave a real challenge that requires thinking, then this is your choice. It's one of those features that makes you simply never want to go back to vanilla.
Its ok. 6/10. If you likes shiny stones then its ok.
