Years ago, a dark legend spread through the deepest corners of the Internet, specifically on the /x/ board of 4chan. There, an anonymous user first spoke about an old and unknown anime called "Go for a Punch." Despite the efforts of those interested in recovering this anime since 2011, the original video never saw the light of day.

The plot of the video was as follows:
"A group of school teenagers finds themselves locked inside a closed room, a public restroom with no doors or windows to escape from. As they debate the possibility of never being able to leave that restroom, they progressively lose their sanity to the point of resorting to suicide due to desperation and hunger..."
The Visual Novel will pick up on the mentioned plot, introducing slight twists and changes to the story, following the pattern usually found in Lost Media discoveries.

It is a realm where human memory often falters, allowing for diverse interpretations to emerge from those imperfect recollections. These variations add depth and originality to the unfolding narrative, creating a captivating and ever-evolving experience.

Witness firsthand the events that these young people will face until the end of their days, reliving the experiences of the lost video and also discovering the reasons behind their suffering.

Art

While an original drawing style is used, diverging from the aesthetics of 80s/90s anime, the art respects the appearance of the retro style. It embodies the look of something forgotten somewhere, for a long time, damped with mold and with missing pixels after has being a copy of a copy, of an original no longer traceable.

Go For A Punch! Saki Sanobashi is a psychological horror visual novel developed and published by Veratrum, drawing inspiration from one of the internet’s most infamous lost-media legends. Rather than focusing on conventional scares or action-driven horror, the game builds its identity around uncertainty, isolation, and the disturbing possibilities hidden within an urban myth that has fascinated online communities for years. The premise immediately stands out because it transforms a mysterious rumor into an interactive narrative, allowing players to experience a version of the story that many have only encountered through fragmented discussions and speculation. The game places a strong emphasis on atmosphere, creating an oppressive sense of confinement that lingers throughout the experience. The central setting serves as more than just a backdrop; it becomes an active source of tension that constantly reminds players of the characters’ hopeless situation. The narrative explores themes of fear, desperation, and psychological deterioration as individuals are pushed beyond their emotional limits. Instead of relying heavily on jump scares, the horror emerges from conversations, charact…

I remember seeing the story of the "lost horror anime: on twitter a while ago and when I found out that someone made a game out of it my creepypasta loving heart fluttered. This was less than what I thought it would be. I know, I probably expected too much BUT in my defense!!! I was also promised too much according to the creepy story of the creepy anime! Not really much gore, not really much blood. It's just a short somewhat unsettling novela and that's it. I guess I can't be too much of an ass about it because it's pretty cheap and has its own charm?

A depressing short tragicomedy visual novel about suicidal girls being locked inside a public bathroom to starve to death instead of getting the painless fast death they met up there for (and there is also a twist)
