✦ AI summary

God in a Closet is a short narrative adventure praised for its appealing visual style, engaging story with meaningful twists, and intuitive puzzle design that guides players naturally through the experience. However, players consistently criticize the inconsistent control scheme mixing keyboard and mouse inputs, unclear dialogue attribution between characters, and a UI that could be more streamlined overall. Despite these rough edges, most reviewers recommend the game as a solid, charming experience that recalls classic flash game design.

God in a Closet is an hour-long narrative adventure game with simple inventory puzzles. I liked the graphics style, and I haven't encountered any technical issues. The UI could have been more streamlined. The game is mostly keyboard-controlled, but mouse input is needed for dialog choices and inventory manipulation. A keyboard-only UI would have been more convenient.

Nice plot and visual style. The storytelling and dialogue needs some work, though. The presentation of the dialogue also could've been better, since oftentimes it's not really distinguishable which character says what. And the controls should've been more consistent (some things could only be done with the keyboard while others required using the mouse). If Steam had a neutral recommendation option I'd have picked that one, but since it's only thumbs up or down I'll go with "recommended" here. Rating: ★★★☆☆

Short, but good. Reminds me of some of the old gems we used to find on the flash sites many years ago.

Wasn't sure what to expect from this game, but honestly I can say without a doubt I am glad I took the chance and risk of purchasing this game. The game leads you to where you need to go, and I rarely had a time where I thought to myself "what do I do now?" The story line was good, more than one twist in the game, and it had many times to show the developer truly cared about the story. It's a good puzzle game for what it is, took me about 30-40 minutes to complete, but again I don't regret the purchase. Hope to see more from the developer and see where they take the next game. Highly recommend it
