The devs need to actually fix the issues with the game before trying to do dlc on top of a half-baked system. They're aware of the issues but prioritized a dlc over fixes. Sure maybe it's a need for funding to be able to do things, but it feels more like backers getting special treatment and mismanagement. -The game is like and ecchi/h-game but not really. Like it's very very tame with minimal content as a payoff. It doesn't go far enough if it wants to be an h/ero game as it's super tame. And as an ecchi fanservice Yuri game there is still just so little content that it doesn't really deliver on this outside of 'technically' checking the boxes. Like 'here's a lewd image, that's good enough right'? -It's an action roguelike, but not as crisp and fluid as something like hades or Holocure or anything like that. It adds jumping but doesn't integrate it well, has multiple weapons that all feel generic and samey, and lets you change your character skin essentially at the start of runs, minorly changing stats if I recall correctly, but not really feeling like 'this is a new character'. It's bland, theres no real progression through a run like real powerups as most of those are relegat…15 found this helpful
♡ Gray Haven ♡
Overall: ★★★★☆ Gameplay: ★★★☆☆ Combat: ★★☆☆☆ Graphics: ★★★★☆ Art Style: ★★★★★ Spiciness: ★★★★☆ Music: ★★☆☆☆
♡ Quick Review ♡
Honestly, I really like Gray Haven. There aren't many Yuri games that mix lewd with a 3D action RPG / dungeon crawler, (or maybe I just suck finding those??) so this already feels pretty fresh. Running through dungeons, characters is genuinely fun idea and premise but..
⚔ Combat
This is my biggest issue. The combat looks flashy, but it gets repetitive pretty fast. Especially on higher difficulties, it becomes pretty obnoxious. Hit once → run around → hit once→ dodge → repeat The combat really needs a proper rework. More combos, animation cancels, ultimates maybe? Also, PLEASE make dodging follow the mouse cursor (of it is supposed to do that I can't say that it works very good or at all?). Attacks already follow the cursor and make the character turn to where you click, so having dodges follow the character's facing direction feels really awkward. Weapons could also have way more personality like lifesteal, AoE dmg bonus if hitting multiple in…1 found this helpful
Cute and fun, got it on discount so it was definitely worth the price but for the full price I would have like to see alot more cg's and possibly a couple animations. Gameplay is simple yet fun and what is offered is good so overall I recommend1 found this helpful
Refreshing game design that actually has true yuri and not a stupid mix of genres.
The unlockable images I got were not good. Also the ending locked rest of the side quests because of a choice I made, even though I had no idea that this would happen.
Gray Haven: Witch’s Garden, developed and published by NINEHECTARE, presents itself as a hybrid action RPG that tries to balance combat-driven exploration with a quieter, more reflective base-building experience. The premise centers on a protagonist who awakens in a fractured, dreamlike world with no memory of how they arrived, gradually uncovering fragments of meaning while rescuing other girls trapped within the same nightmare realm. These survivors are brought back to a growing sanctuary—the Haven—which becomes both a narrative anchor and a mechanical hub for progression. This dual structure gives the game a distinctive identity, shifting between danger and calm in a way that feels intentional, even if not always fully realized. The core gameplay loop is built around venturing into hostile environments and then returning to safety to regroup, expand, and prepare for the next excursion. In the Nightmare zones, combat unfolds in real time with a straightforward hack-and-slash approach. Players can experiment with different weapons and abilities, though the mechanics lean more toward accessibility than depth. Early on, this makes the game easy to pick up and enjoy, but over time t…
