This is so amazing! Earning puzzle pieces has been a huge motivator for me. This has helped me to get stuff done around that house that I've been putting off for quite a while. I get so excited to earn puzzle pieces that I added more items to my list. I'm getting so much done! Love the photos by Trent Nelson too!1 found this helpful
all my homies hate maximizer crunchmode.1 found this helpful
I've enjoyed different game-ified habit trackers, but have found some to be overwhelming and inflexible. This one's interface feels intuitive to interact with, and I like how easy it is to refine the frequency, importance, and/or number of steps in a habit. I absolutely recommend the tutorial. It has a fun and cheeky storyline, and I found it helpful to gradually learn about and try different functions. One of my favorite things about this game is its emphasis on pleasure over productivity. The positive reinforcement of collecting puzzle pieces works much better for me than the negative reinforcement of some nagging push notification. I *love* that you can generate a list of the tasks you've completed. I often feel discouraged if I don't complete an entire to do list, so it's nice to be reminded that I have in fact accomplished something, however small. There's also a great amount of flexibility in which tasks are displayed on screen, and having the option to focus on one thing at a time is very soothing to my anxious mind. While most of the habit trackers I've tried emphasize self-care to some degree, it's refreshing how authentic and embedded into the fabric of the game it fe…1 found this helpful
this is a fun idea and charmingly put together! I could see it being very useful to help start and keep healthy habits or to get through a particularly tedious set of tasks. I'd like to see this receive some updates for QoL improvements and accessibility options but otherwise this is an fun and interesting productivity tool/toy1 found this helpful
This game/tool is great! I have a serious case of ADHD and I'm always experimenting with new task-management solutions. Usually, I bounce off of them because, despite their power, they only help me with organization, not reinforcement. Habit Puzzles manages to be a powerful task-management program (with options for recurring tasks, subtasks, and scheduled tasks) while also reinforcing both the habits and the use of the game itself. I'm looking forward to implementing this into my daily routine. P.S. This seems especially useful alongside Pomodoro-style work blocking (yet another feature supported by Habit Puzzles with custom timers built in). Unlocking a new puzzle piece is a nice little reward for each little task completed in the Pomodoro, and then during the break, you have a pile of pieces to put together for a few minutes.1 found this helpful
this is a very cute and fun game. i don't like the rpg / point based habit games. the characters and dialogues are also funny and cute! i also like that there are rewards you can add. i recommend A+
