About Haunted: Attack of the Dead Men

Enter Osowiec, one of the most formidable fortresses in Europe during the Great War. It's defenders have been through hell - trench warfare, a barrage of artillery, gas - and have returned. The fortress now serves as the source of a great darkness, returning the dead to the land of the living.

You are a lone German soldier in the heat of the epic battle for this fortress, The Attack of the Dead Men. Your comrades have abandoned you and fled in disgrace, and now you are all alone, trapped in Osowiec, surrounded by hundreds of undead, angry Russians. Battle for survival against the hordes, and put them down once again for good to prevent the darkness from spreading over all of Europe...
There is only one path to victory - be the last man standing, dead or alive. Utilise a vast array of weapons to dispatch your foes and conquer this evil place as a one-man army. Many of the weapons in your arsenal enjoy alternate fire modes to ensure that this monumental task is executed with peak German efficiency... The odds are truly stacked against you. Reaching the source of this great evil requires a methodical cleansing of the entire fortress complex. You will need everything you've got to deal with the increasing number of undead, who get stronger and more resilient the deeper you go...

I liked it. The level design isn't as cryptic as some say, if you get past the dreaded level four, then you're good to go. The weapons feel good and animated surprisingly smoothly. You want to keep cleaning the level of enemies even if you find the exit, which is how you know the developers have succeeded in making an enjoyable shooter. It's fun to crawl in the trench and trade shots with enemies that (again, surprisingly) aren't hitscanners. You can dodge rifles, shotguns and the like if you pay attention to the tracers. The map variety is good too, you're not in the trenches the whole game. I suggest playing on the highest difficulty, I found it very forgiving and easy to handle if you are careful. I don't like everything about the visuals, but that's subjective. Solid game overall. Would like to see more from the creators. Also, don't forget to scroll down in the graphics options. There are other options you can tweak just hidden below.

The graphics menu is non-functional. The game defaults to the wrong monitor, and no settings can change that. Other settings that don't work include windowed/fullscreen (in case you wanted to make it windowed and drag it to the correct monitor) and the resolution setting doesn't work either.

fun needs some tweaking, combat is decent but levels are confusing and the blood on screen every time you get hit is annoying and distracting. its good to see a WW1 fps for a change

I enjoyed my time with Haunted (Except Map 04 that ♥♥♥♥ is ass and should be deleted) however, like 90% of Boomer Shooters I simply find myself getting bored before too long and eventually dropping it. That's not a mark on the game, I just don't think I like the genre all that much outside of a handful of exceptions. As for Haunted, the game feels good, the weapons are punchy and the graphics have that old skool chonkiness to 'em that feels right. It's worth a go if you like the genre.

I enjoyed the game, but I was never a fan of finding keys in Doom and I wasn't a fan of finding keys in this. I wanna shoot stuff not hut for keys after everything is dead.

Turmoil at the front Wilhelm’s forces on the hunt There’s a thunder in the east It’s an attack of the deceased They’ve been facing poison gas 7000 charge en masse Turn the tide of the attack And force the enemy to turn back And that’s when the dead men are marching again Osowiec then and again Attack of the dead, hundred men Facing the lead once again Hundred men Charge again Die again Two combatants spar Hindenburg against the Tsar Move in 12 battalions large Into a Russian counter-charge They’ll be fighting for their lives As their enemy revives Russians won’t surrender, no Striking fear into their foe P.S. Why is so hard to find any key to progress in this game? P.P.S. Why so many guns where this bad? the rifle was the worst one even worst then the sword.
