Heart Clicker

Heart Clicker is a very simple idle game built around one thing, collecting as many hearts as I possibly can. I start by clicking to generate hearts, then spend what I earn on upgrades that make the whole process faster. After a while I do not need to click nearly as much because the idle systems start producing hearts for me. It is a very basic idea, but I think it works because I can understand everything within a few minutes and immediately see my numbers going up. The progression is probably the best part for me. I can keep buying upgrades to increase my heart production, then come back later and find that I have earned more while I was away. There are also heart skins and other cosmetic items to unlock, which give me something extra to collect beyond the main number on the screen. The game also has 18 Steam achievements covering things like reaching large heart totals and making a certain number of clicks. None of this is especially complicated, but it gives the simple loop a little more structure. I also like the visual style more than I expected. Some achievements (such as Sugar Attack and Gold Heart) appear to be bugged, as I didn’t receive them even though I completed them. Otherwise, the game is very enjoyable and the achievements are very quick to obtain.
