Hero of Fate: Prologue is a free-to-play action roguelite that combines survivor-style combat with party building, RPG progression, randomized events, and a fantasy adventure framework. Developed by Planescape Game Studio and published by Wise Games, it serves as an introductory version of Hero of Fate, giving players an opportunity to experience its central mechanics without immediately committing to the larger game. While its basic structure will be familiar to fans of games built around surviving increasingly dense enemy hordes, the addition of recruitable teammates, elemental abilities, angels, and choice-based events gives the formula a more distinctive identity. Combat revolves around entering dangerous areas, defeating large numbers of enemies, gaining strength, and constructing an increasingly effective build as the run progresses. The escalating number of opponents creates the familiar pressure that defines the survivor genre, requiring players to remain mobile while their offensive capabilities gradually become more destructive.
